The room is not big but sufficiently self-contained with 2 beds - 1 Queen and 1 single - that are well insulated (from cold). The bathroom is spacious with clean towels and some toiletries. There is a microwave, a kettle (with some complimentary tea bags and fresh milk in the fridge), TV, and if you like, free DVDs for selection at the reception ,and the owner even lend us a DVD player for free! The breakfast was reasonably priced (I had grilled chop with egg at AUD13), and delivered into our.
all reviews » Innovative décor, not typical motel "box". Larger than average living and bathroom space with plenty of working surfaces and luggage storage. All-round clean and comfortable with good light and plenty of convenient power points. Well-appointed kitchen space and facilities, bottled fresh milk in frig. Car parking spot outside room. Quiet, off-road location. Loads of good restaurants nearby. Pleasant and helpful administration. Would definitely stay here again, and next time, get to use the pool!. Although the outside of the motel looked a bit dowdy and a little old looking once in our room we were very pleased to find how clean and tidy every thing was with very requirement we needed. .Staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was hot ,on time ,and very enjoyable . Five stars Glynlea. When I rang to confirm the booking and indicate that I would be arriving after reeptin closing time, it was no problem at all. Very friendly welcome, I would recommend it to anyone looking for just the basic room. Great value for the money we paid, and the breaky was awesome. The real milk in the fridge was a bonus, so nice not to have UHT milk. We stayed two nights, a Thursday and Sunday, I left food and drinks in the fridge, the couple that run Glynlea were happy to keep them for us on our return trip. The motel was very close to the main area of Horsham. If needed you could walk to the centre of town. It is in a very quiet location and a short drive from the centre of Horsham. I have stayed there on three occasions and always found it to be a great place to stay. We found it very clean & tidy With all amenities good location All round great value for money Would have no hesitation recommending this Motel to others. looked very plain on the outside but room was great, big roomy everything you need. very close to dog track, easily walk there. that was my purpose. If I want to nitpick, it would be that would be about 7 - 10mins walk to town centre, but really, not sure what is there in the city centre except for meals and drinks, so may not be missing much. Still, it is a good place for stayover if heading to some parts of Grampians, which is not overly crowded. (We were there during Easter break). Nothing negative springs to mind! This is a good motel. nothing. There was nothing not to like. no negatives to report. The step getting into the room. all the fast food chains were way on the other side of town. That the wifi was limited but it was explained as to why especially as kids have a tendency to play computer games and used the limit with minutes so they have had to restrict the limit of usage because of this. Could not fault our stay, thoroughly enjoyable, close to city centre but far enough not to hear any noises. Quiet and comfortable. All ok. no complaints at all. Aussie motels don't have cooking facilities which takes a bit of adjusting to as a kiwi!!. Not applicable. Having to leave. Would have liked some refreshments in the fridge e.g. a mini bar, water bottles. bathroom was very tired. No free Internet after advertising that there was. And even if there was I consider myself to be very tech savvy and couldn't work it out. It had a password and no place to know the password or find it. The wallpaper was peeling off in all areas. Cobwebs in bathroom along with mouldy wallpaper. The bed was too hard-better off sleeping on floor. Microwave and toaster provided-no plates knives etc. Clean up their act.!!!!! Would never recommend this motel to anyone.
