The Location was an excellent point to be to tour Hobart and the surrounds. Easy to get in and out of. Everything that you needed whilst on Holiday was basically walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. Such helpful professional staff.Family ,happy warm atmosphere.Close to all amenities. Easy to use car park. Checking in and out very efficient. Broken chair..dirty vent in bathroom. The bed was very hard. The pillows weren't great. Washer-dryer not a good option - doesn't dry your clothes - separate units would be better. The site promised free internet but the hotel book said it would be charged. The biggest problem was the heater. The room was cold but the heater was either on and very noisy or no use at all. noise in the front room of 2 bedroom apartment - garbage trucks at 5am and market being set up on Saturday mornings. nothing I didn't like about it!. No wifi in apartment / room only broadband which needed to be attached by cord. Not really suitable for ipads. Collecting of rubbish at 6.30am. no free wi-fi, no champagne glasses, furniture was not up to 4+ star standard, no spa, no special condiments in the bathroom i.e sewing kit. These are the things that make a difference between average and exceptional... Poor ventilation, bed was to hard. Very noisy at night with people passing by. At $300 per night we might have expected better sound proofing. nothing. Reception is at another hotel. That was confusing and poorly signed. Room heater did not work as installation had not been completed. There was no sign to state this. TV too low. Our room, on ground floor, no balcony, window right on street where pedestrians and traffic woke us throughout the night. Bed uncomfortable. I would recommend the hotel to others, but with the advice they request a non-street level room. Needs an upgrade, bathroom old, shabby looking and bed could have been more comfortable linen and pillows did not have a clean smell. In wet weather having to go across to Lena to book in and out and for meals. Disappointing stay. Booked 2 bedroom apartment and didn't like the fact the rooms were completely separate - more like 2 adjoining suites than one apartment - not what we wanted or booked. Trucks noisy in the morning. nowhere to put cases,room very small,walking up hill to reception,no treets to have with tea or coffee,. NO. en suite (2room apartment) NO. AirCondioning Too noisy at 5am ,city cleaners , no chance for a sleep in. NO WIFI available , foyer across the road. Dated. Upgrade to a one bedroom apartment put us at ground level and beside the busy entrance so the room was noisy from guest arrivals and from passers by during the small hours of the morning. Lack of cleanliness, poor utilities ie heater stuck out from wall, cupboards to laundry broken and in disrepair, lack of proper heating and cooling ie just fans and heater (see above). Generally very overpriced a tired accommodation that would suit backpackers or large families on a tight budget. We were so unimpressed on arrival that we didn't even stay for one night.
