Loved the coffee shop and the bed... I have arthritis everywhere and sleeping on the bed was a dream. I've stayed at a lot of places on the gc and this was great. Resturants, coffee shop right at your fingertips. A great deal is the movie packages. We paid $25 for the duration of our stay (2 nights) and you get unlimited movies for that price. Loved the decor and how it all felt. Attention to detail in this hotel was incredible, even down to the gorgeous note paper in the rooms. The staff were articulate, beautifully groomed and nothing was any trouble. It was wonderful to see smiling staff who made you feel welcome from beginning to end. Well done Qt, you have won me, I will be back over and over.,.

Also, all the room service and cleaning staff were very friendly and polite. I loved everything about this hotel. Very friendly staff, funky fit out, amazing buffet breakfast, one of the best I have ever had and I have done alot of travel around the world. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Excellent staff -go the extra mile. Made my daughter's 21 very special...prosecco macaroons in room. Great attention to detail. Loved the retro style...truly excellent service. The hotel is very quirky with it's "old school beach design" All the concierges we encountered were really friendly and helpful Free lemonade in the foyer is great. Loved the décor and the fact that they didn't have any schoolies staying. Lovely views and the soda stand in the foyer was a great touch. Very comfy bed. Had noisy neighbours and had to ring concierge at 4am in the morning on 2nd night to tell them to turn it down Loud music from bar on 3rd night came up from ground level to 12th floor so didn't sleep well any night I was there. Part of a conference there and there were long queues for lunch so no time to relax even tho we had an hour. Process too slow. Not that many alternative cafes to get food in a hurry that were close. security hold on credit card took over a week to clear :(. Couldn't work out how to get normal tv. It appeared as though u had to pay. I have stayed at this hotel building before when it used to be the GCI hotel. The main areas reflected the QT branding but there was allot of areas of the hotel that still had the branding, look and fell of GCI which was disappointing. This was especially evident around the poolside and the conference area. Nothing. there was party at the robby everyday. i couldn't use pool at all. The price of the morning breakfast. Was just a tad expensive ... Small pool. Expensive, no coffee available in room unless paid for, bazaar restaurant had no price for dinner advertised so you don't know what you're paying unless you ask or until you pay. Nothing. I didn't like being charged an extra $100 a few days later without knowing what for. Being charged for coffee in the room was a bit cheap. The bed was too soft. construction site in front of hotel, staff not assisting with luggage. the weather. Pay for parking. Pretty sure we asked for late check out when we booked but noone said anything when we checked in. the pool. Pool bar not open. The lobby is very noisy. Room service was very slow. Didn't like the setup/layout. Sockets not easily accessible. Need more friendly service. That I was not told in web site about the 1 hundreds deposit and it has been over 5 working days and still haven't got it back not happy at all.
