We stayed in Coral Tower from the 27th of November till the 2nd of December, 2013. On the arrival we were met by a friendly receptionist. She offered us a better view apartment for the reasonable amount and explained the highlights of the city. she also booked for us a trip to the Great berrier rief (good value for money). The pool area was excellent with the complimentary barbecue facilities on site (which we utilised on our last day of trip :)). The underground parking was also very handy. Th.
all reviews » Fabulous location! We enjoyed a 20 min walk to Muddy's playground. A wonderful playground for kids and nice cafe stop for Mum and Dad! It was a very pleasant 30 min stroll into the centre of Cairns. we had a warm welcome from Sandy and an unexpected upgrade. You won't regret booking to stay here. The apartment was clean, well equipped, very relaxing with a stunning view of the Esplanade. It is a wonderful choice if traveling with young children. There was plenty of room for our family of 4, with 2 separate bedrooms and toilets. Nice balkony facing the sea! The place is located a bit further away from downtown, but the walk on he beach front is nice with some amazing birds, and takes less than half an hour. The pool is nice and pool hours long enough. The warm water in the small pool was a pleasant surprise. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff; pool area lovely with BBQ; car parking available; air conditioning and fans available; good sized kitchen; own balconies; and good sized bedrooms and lounge/dining areas. Had an awesome stay there. Staff were so helpful. Value for money, great location central to everything. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to my friends. Eating out, walking along the esplanade, touring Kuranda, the markets everywhere, coastal scenery, the Islands, the weather, location. Excelent sea view from balcony. That our stay was TOO Short:). No negatives about this accommodation!. The airplanes take off to the direction of the hotel, so the noice is quite high - but luckily not at night. Also the traffic noice could disturb in the morning. Needs a coat of paint and bathrooms a little tired but still more than adequate. Nothing. Building getting old; not attractive - does not stand out. More than happy with facility/service. It is not close to shops and restaurants. If you are really fussy the decor is a little dated. Late check out was not accepted. The outside of the building could do with a face lift. We had 2 toddlers and we couldn't lock the kids safely inside by key. They could get out onto the balcony. We couldn't relax. Somebody had to watch at all times. The hotel's rule. Booked Two-Bedroom Apartment 5 months in advance with Ocean View. But we got Two-Bedroom Apartment with Bush and Trees blocking the view as they put us in lowest level and asking us to pay $20 per day extra for upper levels for clear view. Felt it is pure greedy.
