We enjoyed the friendly front staff and their advice. Our room was exactly what we required - ie., balcony, opening slider, fan option or aircon, a kitchen & had the added luxury of a queen bed each!.
I like all the stuff members they're very friendly, the pool and the rooms of course, the free wi-Fi connections.

Hospitality.
Was within easy walking to beach,restaurants and city shopping.
Owners are lovely and hard working.
It was not a problem for us, but some 60+ would not manage the 3 flights of stairs - I guess they may be pre told about the fact of no lifts - also a good 20min walk to town - again not a prob for us. A bit of maintenance required in the room, but again the price reflected this and suited us.
I can't say I didn't like anything because I loved staying here in cairns holiday lodge.

swimming pool was in need of modernising and a refurb.
No kitchen sink.
Upon arrival the cutlery was not clean and the room needed a further clean as well as the floors were very gritty.
Our room needed maintenance and doors don't auto lock
