From the road it does not look great but it is a hidden gem-Older style. Comfy beds, large TV and DVD. There is only a microwave in our room but it had all cutlery and dishes to reheat meals for a family. Large clean swimming pool. A great relaxing stay. Would stay there again. Our room was good, had everything we needed for our one night stay. Comfortable beds. Fairly new bathroom renovation. Would definitely stay at Restawhile again for future short stays. At only $100 per night it was good value for money.
all reviews » For us it is in a very handy position (only a minutes walk from family). The owners are wonderfully friendly and very helpful. The room was a great size. Also handy to bakeries!!. The reception staff were extremely helpful and had an enormous amount of local knowledge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location for touring the south west of WA. I liked the set up it was like a little apartment and I was able to shop and cook for my kids instead of having to buy junk food which was great. The friendly gentleman in the office. He gave great advice on what to see/do in the short time I had available. The bed was REALLY comfy!. Clean, easy to find, comfortable beds and NOT noisy despite being on the main road. Mostly modern furniture. Nice modern bathroom. Very reasonable rates and although a bit weary the room and facilities were very adequate and exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff was very friendly, gave us suggestions on where to go due to our tight one day schedule which we had there. Staff is very nice. Motel id easy to find and convenient. All is simple that is suitable for short trip. I lost my ipad , the stuff found it and return it to me. very lovely. Thanks! Hotel was very great. Room came equipped with some crockery and cutlery despite being a room booked without a kitchen. It was basic, very clean ,centrally located , I would certainly stay at this place next time. The place was convenient for our purpose, over night stay to attend a function nearby. It was clean and had all facilities. Room was small and would not be suitable for more than one or two nights, but it was perfectly adequate for my needs on this occaison. Unfortunately both the bed and pillows were very hard. I did note that there was nowhere to hang any clothes which was unusual. Bedspread was very old and worn. No shower curtain so water all over the floor. Hair dryer went phhht and died when I went to use it... Temperature of water in the shower was inconsistent - cold sometimes and hot sometimes. The room have a smell what is not really good. great so far. the furnishing were very good ,personally a nice easy chair would have completed the furnishing, whereas you have the wooden chairs or the bed to sit on, not very comfortable. It was a little outdated, Recent bedding/linen and working cold tap in bathroom basin wouldve made the stay perfect. Parking (no space outside our room) Number 8. Perhaps a shelf or similar in the shower/toilet would be an advantage so that guests could place clothes tc on it. no kitchen sink. the gardens need a good weed and mow to much junk laying around outside our room and the beds had no legs the mattress was on the floor we found this a bit bizarre. Not lit up enough after dark. Found trouble finding place after dark. There could have been a separate wash basin in the toilet/bathroom, apart from the one in the kitchen. the cigaret smell of the room. lost water twice due to repairs we were not told so made us late for meeting. Dated. curtain too light and sun woke us up too early. Tight parking. Bed not comfortable. the parking area. Dirty little bit. Needed updating 20 years ago. Change your heater..almost rust inside...no good.. the bed inside is slightly worn, which kills my back over that night. No facewasher. No Shampoo/Conditioner or body lotion. My bedside light didn't work. The mattress was larger than the bed and I had to be careful not to tumble out off if I got to close to the edge. It is old and a bit rundown but for the price and convenience we were not bothered. Outside decor very drab. Kitchen floor and skirting boards dirty. Kitchen needs a sink unit. Quality of inside decor and furnishing need a radical upgrade to feel comfortable, especially the bathroom. However, I would love to buy and upgrade!. Doona covers looked faded and stained. It is very basic. Old furniture and the rooms do smell a bit stuffy. A facelift would be nice. The curtains were not block out. It is extremely disappointing when you get woken up by the early morning sunlight. Even more upsetting when your small children wake super early due to the curtains not being adequate. I would never expect to stay in any accommodation in Australia (let alone WA) that do not have block out curtains. The rooms could do with an upgrade, needs a sink in kitchen area, plumbing needs repairing ( leaking taps ). Although the room appeared clean, we were surprised by 2 cockroaches. One in the microwave and another in the bathroom. There was a spider in the room, because the mirror mounted away from the wall, did not look like it had ever been cleaned. There was a lots of spider webs. Towels were hard. Fabric softener would have been an asset. noisy people at night . No proper cooking facilities.
