I loved the quiet & peaceful surrounds & the open country view from the balcony.Just beautiful. Cows in the paddock ( on my first visit) were a picture of contentment ! The balcony was a lovely place to sit and relax after a day of driving, or in the early morning with a cup of tea. Stunning sunrises too. The air con was great, the beds comfy and the reception staff were warm & welcoming and very helpful. I'm sure I would have loved the pool, had I remembered to throw in my cossie.
all reviews » Travis and Justina were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. My wife had had a tummy bug the day before we arrived and wasn't in much form during our brief stay; however, Travis and Justina did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were given magazines and power supplies to charge our phones. I'd love to return here and explore the area around Albury-Wodonga - the Sundowner Hume Country Motor Inn would be an ideal base. I would definitely return to stay at the Sundowner. The staff were very friendly, helpful and prompt to deal with any concerns. The large family room was fantastic with plenty of space for parents, 4 teenage children and a grandparent! Position was excellent with the back deck opening onto the pool/play area below. The included breakfast was an added bonus, my husband was happy he could even order a cuppachino! See you again next time we visit Albury. The clerk at check-in was extremely helpful, he went well beyond his duty and provided many useful tips for dining etc. around Albury... (Travis, I think?) Breakfast was simple, but more than adequate, and certainly on par with what I'd eat at home. Quiet location, pool looked lovely, although I didn't swim. This motel is OUTSTANDING value for money. Travis could not have been more accommodating on our arrival. The room was beautifully presented, clean sheets and surfaces. The breakfast could not have been better value for money. I loved the area too. After working around Albury all day, it was nice to come "home" to peaceful surroundings. It will be my regular stay when I'm working in the area. Travis went out of his way to make us as welcome as a late-night booking can be, and went the extra yard by allowing us the use of the breakfast dining facilities even though we were moving on at a ridiculously early time the next morning. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great views and relaxed breakfast room. Staff were more than helpful. Fancy place names like the hyatt etc could take a leaf out of their book. We will choose to stay here again on our next visit. Great attention to detail. We arrived on a very cold day late in the evening and our room has had the heating turned on prior to our arrival. Very friendly staff. Will stay here again if the opportunity arises. This motel was comfortable (the bed was among the best I have ever slept In), quiet and very clean. The staff were excellent, the meals were first class and nothing was too much trouble. Should be rated 5 star. Room was nicely appointed. Great bed. Again, when I asked about this Justina immediately reset the modem at reception and got us up and running. This is not Travis' and Justina's fault, they have attempted to get their network provider to sort out the issue but aren't being well served by them. Mattress was a bit on the hard side, (for me). There was nothing I didn't like about this motel. Tight parking for a big car and trailer, but we managed. I could not fault any aspect of this establishment. Noise from Gas Cylinder outside Room ,would try another room at a later date. Open verandas where other guests can enter your window space G.S.T. not included in special prices. Not much really. No milk on arrival for a cuppa tea. A little bit dated i.e. the fittings, but not a major issue. It was just a one-nighter and it was very good. Nothing to report. Nothing. All good!. nothing. TV was easier to see without my glasses.... In other words, the picture quality was poor. family room was just that, all beds in one room. If I had to be picky the shower is a little low, being tall people we like a tall shower rose. The heater/air conditioner was a little hard to use and instructions not evident, we looked in the booklet but they weren't in there.Lucky there was plenty of extra blankets. nothing. No comment required or necessary herein. Nothing to complain about. No electric blankets, bed and pillows a little hard. No Micro oven provided in breakfast room to heat up milk to put on cereals. A bit far out of the centre of town if you did not have a car. All good. There were no locks on the sliding screen door leading out to the balcony. No kettle for coffee in breakfast room ,had to use microwave but very minor. That I could not stay longer.
