I found the location very good, its away from the night life on James street, so the noise is less noisy on the weekends!, i actually extended my stay until the 2nd July.
The staff were very nice everyone and very helpful :)
I would say this is probably the most cleanest and safest backpacking hostel in Perth! I would stay here again for sure! -

I stayed in the female dorm for one night, the room was clean and proper, the weekend manager was very helpful to make a call to airport shuttle for me. I stayed in my own room with a queen bed. Very comfortable. No fridge in room but access to main fridges in share kitchen. The private rooms are a great compromise between having friendly international travellers around but not having to share a room if you like your privacy.
Will be my first stop next time I stay in Perth.
