A lovely retro-styled hotel,excellent location if you are flying out of the Gold Coast airport (the room fee includes a free airport transfer). Also very good when coming off a late night flight - there are always cheap supplies in the room (noodles, cup-a-soups, hot water jug), great if you are coming off a 1 am flight! The decor of our apartment had been updated so it was a very nice modern 3.5star. We had the bottom floor which was handy to the pool for the kids.

The manager is very friendly. I booked weeks ahead not realizing i had to check in on good friday. When I arrived at 10pm, the manager still answered the phone and opened the door to let me check in. And he drove me to the airport for free at 7am the next morning!

Coolangatta hasn't got the buzz of Surfers Paradise, but it's a
much more attractive place with wonderful walks in all directions. Ocean
Plaza is wonderfully located close to three wonderful patrolled beaches.
It was nice to be able to exit the complex straight into the Showcase
shops, which next year will feature a Woolworths supermarket right at
this doorstep.
