The location was fantastic, bang in the middle of Rundle Mall with plenty of shops close by, and a good range of pubs and restaurants in relatively close proximity (ie about a 200 meter walk up Rundle Street). We booked the room for 4 nights as we had tickets for the Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval and wanted a place to stay that was relatively central to the city and in easy walking distance to the Oval. This hotel ticket all of the boxes. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroo.

When we arrived, by car, we followed the directions to find the hotel but they led us to a dead end street. One of the receptionists, on being alerted to the problem, immediately went to find the car and personally guided my husband to the car park. We were upgraded, without asking, to a spacious 'studio' room. The location was excellent and very convenient, much to see around the hotel. Staff were really friendly and great to deal with. I was informed that there will be an event on the night we stayed there and it may be noisy but where we stayed we couldn't really hear it. I appreciate the email sent in advance. Extra large room, with separate sitting, dining and sleeping areas. Staff were very helpful, particularly Mr. Shane at the reception desk, who went out of his way to help us, when our room locker got jammed. Excellent location on Rundle Mall, providing variety of shopping and eating options. Well, actually I intended to write this letter for a while. The staff, Shane, is really good and helpful. He helped us with some suggestions like shopping, and even helped us for the route and map about Melbourne! We do appreciate his work, and hope to say thanks to him form China!. Comfortable rooms. Boutique FIRST bar is fantastic. The tapas are lovely. Centrally located The room has a fridge so you can keep your drinks cool or partake in the mini bar. The only small gripe is that it was very noisy when the live band were playing on Friday night, however we knew that the hotel had a bar/nightclub when we booked the room so it wasn't a major issus. Instructions to find the hotel by car need to be improved! The shower head in the bathroom was defective and was only slightly improved after we reported it. I thought that the bed was a little soft for my liking and the facilities were a little more basic than expected based on places I've stayed in the past (and also considering location. In particular, I didn't like the quality of toiletries provided. I guess I had an impression that it was a boutique hotel, but it didn't quite have that feel. Breakfast at the hotel was too expensive, considering the fare provided. Room servicing obviously didn't follow a check list as bits and pieces were missed each day. Wifi is not free in your room. As you are on a pedestrian mall you have to walk 100m to the nearest taxi rank with all your bags. Breakfast was continental only and fruit wasn't very fresh. Would be nice to have option for cooked breakfast, as long as it isn't too expensive. The somewhat intrusive nature of the tv in the dining area during breakfast. Having to leave both the Hotel and Adelaide. Room clean was rushed, leaving rubbish in bins and a dirty spoon and cup and not replacing used cups. The hotel is modern style however the curtains in the coridors (small bamboo) do not match with the overall concept and make it look cheap like backpackers hotel (my thought). Not a thing!. Better car park facilities would be a bonus!. No direct access from Taxi. all good. Table in the room was sticky and had not been cleaned. Nothing, fitted exactly wat we need. Nothing at all. Thought we where getting double sink in bathroom. Nothing. Some noise from the bar. A little bit noisy at night. Needs attention to decor - carpets soiled, needs fresh paint. For tariff charged, a hot breakfast should be available. noisy room first night , but was fixed the 2nd night. I didn't think this was a value for money Hotel my room was small and very basic. Room and environs slightly shabby and grotty. breakfast was pathetic for a 4* hotel not worth coming down for...only has ..cereal & toast !!!. Noise! It was so loud it felt like we were in the bar. Definatley not a place to stay if you want rest and to relax. The breakfast felt like we were eating in a closed down bar with the cleaners still cleaning, the staff member watching tv and the floor sticky. room not what I expected, photos I seen had balcony, bathroom a bit dingy, unable to meet friend in bar/balcony as pre arranged, as function booked and at no time were we informed ,I had gone to the Richmond on 2 occasion to view room and was unable to view room, was never told about function , breakfast was a few left overs and horrible coffee , very disappointing, as I had organized the weekend as a surprise for my husbands 50th Birthday.
