I liked the spacious standard room with the view across to the Adelaide hills. Mattress very comfortable. Wide variety of television channels available. Bathroom adequate and clean. No unnecessary mini bar, simply a bottle of spring water supplied free of charge. Snacks such as pizza slices and spinach and fetta rolls supplied free of charge to patrons in the gaming room. Later checkout happily supplied upon request.
all reviews » The location was great. Walking distance to cafes, shops, etc. and easy access to the city. A leisurely walk could have been taken to the city, time permitting and if we had brought walking shoes, but worth remembering for next time. The comfort and ambience. I loved being able to watch tv while in the spa. the bed was so comfortable, and the room was very clean. The best thing was we couldn't hear any noise coming from downstairs or the road traffic, it was wonderful. Would stay again. The staff were very helpful, accomodating and professional. The rooms were nicely furnished and the food was excellent. We held a function there and it went very smoothly and staff responded promptly and were always happy to assist. Everything was beautiful! The room was gorgeous, would love to stay there again except that we are a young couple who cannot afford to splurge $190 on a hotel room that often! Wish we could have stayed longer :(. Excellent service by staff at front desk. Room was clean and comfortable. Although I was warned about it being noisy I didn't notice the noise in my room when the band set up. the nicest place we have stayed for A long time, service, staff, was fantastic, compliments for our breakfast too that was great. the size of the room an all in one hotel front bar with live band live band upstairs piano bar nice place to eat. A great hotel offering a great night out with a choice of 2 bands and a pianist. Perfect Easter night out. Everything about the arkaba is first class my favourite place to stay when my wife and I need to relax. The room was very comfortable and clean and there was plenty to do in the hotel for the whole family. Have stayed numerous times ,it feels friendly and comfortable also it is family owned and hands on. The spa loft was very spacious, and the 6th floor is not very busy :-) Good value for money!!. room was great ,parking good ,meals good close to city good value considering cricket week. Value for money, nice entertainment and a friendly feeling through the bar and restaurant. Comfort, convenience, just a pleasant 3 monthly stopover for appointments in the area. We stayed in one of there loft suites and it was Devine from the spa to the bed. All staff interactions were courteous and friendly. Food was good and plenty. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The bed was comfortable. Nice suburb. I visited the gaming room and found a limited number of poker machines with very few of them being one cent machines. The cooked breakfast was very tasty but not overly generous in quantity. No biscuits with tea or coffee, especially as we arrived later in the evening and no cafes were open and nowhere to get a snack. A jug of water would also be a good idea as the kettle was difficult to put under basin tap in bathroom. As there were 2 of us another hand towel and flannel would have been appreciated plus another bottle of water in the fridge as there was only 1 small bottle. The price! But it was an amazing room, so... Dinner and breakfast areas not clearly shown. Maybe they try to do to much. Staff didn't know how to book Christmas party night. It was a little dark to read menu but very minor complaint. Nothing I don't like. The first day I checked in I went to have a spa in the room, and the water was coming out yellow with brown residue from the tap .... the next morning the cleaning lady told me they had some plumbing done that day ... could only stay one night because of cricket i was in adelaide for medical reasons had to stay at other lower class accom for $60 more. Nothing. No bikkies. The bed in our room (102) was like sleeping on the floor. It had no give whatsoever. Not good for old bones. reception...slow, supermarket and shops close to early, no microwave in rooms. Housekeeping did not replenish the coffee, tea, milk and mineral water. Nothing. Everything. Lost money at the Pokies !!. car parking and trying to find front enterance from eventual car park. Having to leave!. parking was limited and we sustained damage to our vehicle not secure damage is quite bad. There was nothing to dislike. Getting locked out of hotel late at night as key wouldnt work. Having no hot water on the morning we left. I didn't find the staff very friendly especially the morning lady at breakfast. I had paid for my breakfast in my booking but she wouldn't believe me. When I showed her my booking she never apologised, just grunted. Short staffed at reception Short staffed at breakfast on Sunday morning. Lack of power points to plug things into. There was only a double plug above the fridge ( for a kettle ) but nothing next to the bed to plug in my ipad, modem etc. ( apart from the bathroom.). Nothing!. there was no internet available for 4 of the 5 days and when it was available the charge was outrageous. More than any other hotel we have stayed in world wide. Evening meal drink service very slow. stale cigarete smoke when first opened the door. Our fridge didn't work ,when I told them it was like ,who cares.i did I paid nearly 200.00,for one night.only reason I got to stay there was I had just been to hospital.and we couldn't be bothered to drive home. A salad bar for the evening meal would be nice. Parking was a bit confusing and reception was not very clear on options available There was a lot of noise mainly base thump thump thump from the entertainment complex. No gym/pool. Reported no globe in my desk lamp. When I left still wasn't fixed. The staff at reception lacked interest in their job and were very abrupt. Seemed like they didn't want to be there, weren't friendly or caring and lacked enthusiasm. They also didn't explain to us how to order breakfast for the next morning so that was extremely disappointing. Room service fee Too many areas - it's like a maze Poor food at wedding reception we attended Breakfast delivered to our room which we didn't order. Fines not specified on documentation.House cleaning was provided when not asked.Will be going to another hotel in future. Staff at reception. This mix up with how room was charged when we said we would pay cash. The room was clean but very ordinary. The size of main course was terrible for dinner.
