Lovely location, we stayed in the ex-governers house which was peaceful. The swimming pool was great, set in a beautiful garden full of birds. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I loved the wine tastings every evening as you got to know the other guests. We also had a tour of the olive oil making which was really interesting. The spa was great, had a lovely relaxing massage. The staff were extremely helpful and very professional. The wine tasting sessions were excellent. They were informative and gave one a chance to meet other guests. This is a very nice place to relax in a bit of luxury after some busy tourist oriented days.
all reviews » It was so wonderful being able to bike through the vineyard on the propery. The hotel manager helped us so much with planning our trips to nearby wineries and recommended a great boutique winery not far from the hotel which we really enjoyed. Club Tapiz is in the heart of the Mendoza wine country. At 8 p.m. each evening, they have a wine tasting for their guests. There is also a 4 star restuarant on site. Wonderful meals!. We had the most amazing time at club tapiz. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the hotel was beautiful, relaxing & clean. The food and wine was really good too. Excellent small hotel in an old wineyard. Very friendly and helpful staff, english spoken,excellent food, winetasting every evening included. etc etc. We loved this renovated hotel with very high ceiling rooms. Nightly wine tasting and pillow selection were the additions that added to the experience. Vineyard setting. Nice complimentary wine tasting to meet other travelers. Great dinner. Was able to bike to neighboring property for lunch. Great staff and restaurant. Quality rooms, nice jacuzzi, and comfort. The 3x2 night special was a great value!. While we walked to the village of Chacras de Coria much of the walk was on a very busy road. Located on the countryside, transport needed for activities outside hotel. Noisy sleeping room. Jacuzzi was too hot to use. The "free" club tapiz (not recommended) winery tour involved a cab ride and mandatory wait around, which cost $350 pesos. Their cab service is expensive, and they are relatively far from Mendoza. All good. The breakfast staff were terrible. Coffee might take 20 minutes to 1/2 hour. Couldn't seem to wait on more than one table at a time. We were amazed that they just seemed to leave everybody & not take orders. maybe a little far form the centre of Mendoza, so need to hire a taxi or car to take you round.
