I liked that everything was close surrounding the location I was at. Room was spacious and comfortable bed. Nice view of Downtown LA. Excellent service.
I didn't like that we had to pay for parking at the hotel.
Nice service, help us to change room when we found no hot water in bathroom. Location is good, near downtown. The price is cheap in downtown area.
Poor Wifi, we found 4 bugs in the room when we check out. The stuff of room is old.
Great value close to Downtown, friendly staff and a comfortable hotel.
The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely room fro improvement with their breakfast offering and staff.
i love the location the staff was very helpfull i was in Los Angeles on business i had some packages delivered for me untill i got there the service was excellent you can also get breakfast for $12.95 us so the hotel is really good for business people this is actually my third stay with them
there was not any thing i did not like
Excellent location in Downtown of LA, friendly staff, good price.
Had to change the very first room that was booked for us originally, new room was much more comfortable for the same price 0_o
The bed was comfortable.
The checkout time was long approximately 30 minutes.
location was good.
Very good staff and perfect location, clean rooms......
Nothing
Close to downtown, accessible by various means: bus, metro, taxi is also available
Quite old furniture, check-in at 3:00PM
Location
Parking
location,comfortable beds and price value.
shower faucets to old and very weak water pressure, water temperature control not good this time, wi-fi signal inside the room not good.
I like reception lady Ms Shery ,, she's very beautiful .
Check out time
Lobby looks nice.Location is great and staff are friendly.
Room was old and small ,Can't turn around in the bathroom.
The night staff were very friendly
The rooms were a bit old
Very convenient for shopping and tourism.
The grocery and laundry mat right next door. The concierge will lock up your bags and hold them so you don't have to drag them around town if you arrive before check in.
$12.50 for breakfast, tiny bathroom,no mini fridge or microwave. They hold 2x the amount of your reservation on your credit card before you check out. Then they adjust the total.
Nice and quiet hotel in downtown LA. Comfortable beds and good service from friendly staff.
Big rooms and comfy large beds. Grand building
Obviously passed its heyday and could do with a refurb. We also had a few cockraoches in our room though were promptly moved when we informed staff
It's a nice historic hotel which was renovated 20 years ago. It's clean and not expensive. We had a nice view and quiet room. There was an iron and ironing board.
No refrigerator.
We had one of the family rooms and there was ample space to move around. The close proximatey to downtown and facilities.
Having to pay for parking.
Costumer service close to dtla to freeways n the view
No pool :(
location, the view from our room, price, parking's security method,a good place to relax and be with the family.
internet service very bad signal from our room,we saw people using their tablets or lap tops to get the signal only at the hotel's lobby. our last day they did not clean the room,we are planning to email them asap to let them know,we were in a hurry last day before checking out. flat screen tvs will be much better.lower their parking prices for their clients.
Good location - near Financial district; good price, own hotel parking.
Seems like good facility but not managed properly - needs redesign, more people or better personnel productivity. Lack of standards follow up.
I like the history behind the hotel
The rooms are very small and hard to work in.
The place was only 15 minutes away from Staple Center and walking distance to the heart of downtown LA.
breakfast
The price was reasonable and generally within walking distance of downtown events. The air conditioning was quiet even on high speed, but you could open the window a bit if you desired that instead. Our room had a hardwood floor.
The bathtub was technically big enough to shower in, but the two floor heights was difficult to notice, and without any safety wall bars, it almost became an incident. The water pressure was "ok", but the water temperature change when other rooms used/shut off their water, was a bit of a concern as it did get hot.
The staff were very professional. The Concierge was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure our luggage was safely stowed while waiting for our flight and assisting with travel to the airport. It is close enough to the Convention Center and Staples to walk although was about 1 mile.
The part of town was not the nicest. The bathrooms, while clean, were very small.
Nice, clean hotel in Downtown LA, close to Beverly Hills. Hotel staff was nice and breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Small food store few metres from the hotel. Would stay again.
You have to pay for parking which is $12 /night.
Excellent value for money, good location with respect to cbd and Metro
Breakfast was reasonable value at $10 but there could have been a bit more variety and choice on offer.
Relatively cheap and located near to the historic downtown
The keys got demagnetized quite often, breakfast costs were $10 and it was not very diverse
location nearby public transportation.
I loved the lobby. It was luxurious. The pillows were amazing.
I did not like that the shampoo and lotion were used. I didn't like the mildew/urine smell coming out of the air conditioning. I didn't like how there were two beds but only 1 comforter (found in the closet). I didn't like how there wasn't a screen on the window. I didn't like the pot smokers hanging out in the parking garage. I hated how the wifi was spotty and would stop working all together. I also did not like that the outlets did not all work.
price , location restaurant
nightime street conditions
Budget and the location suited us fine! Staff really friendly and very helpful, problem with bed on our arrival were upgraded and dealt with swiftly and happily which means a lot. Thank you lovely staff at the Mayfair.
Secure and well ran overall.
I thought it good value. Nice that it had free wifi, a must for those coming from abroad and use the internet a lot.
A/C was blowing out hot air when on. It seems it is centrally set to blow hot or cold. Being winter, it was blowing hot, despite it being 27C/81F outside! Annoying that the hotel staff do not inform their guests when there are items for them. It is the guest's responsibility to ask!
The hotel has a good location, in downtown. The staff was very nice, especially one woman who changed are room without any problem because we were not satisfied with first one (was too noisy because of air condition on the roof top). Some rooms are with old furniture but comfortable and clean. It is really good choice for value of money. In the morning we also buy a breakfast, worth it, they are quite rich and tasty, good price for them.
When we came we got probably the worst room in the hotel, it was small, smelly, noisy, simply bad. Next day we asked for other room. They changed our room and then it was much better, we were satisfied.
The location was close to event we were attending.
Room "felt" dirty. Carpet very worn, ripped and stained. Damaged base boards and furniture. Bathroom too small! Breakfast was too expensive, so we didn't eat there.
Hotel was very cheap Hotel was clean Hotel was great value for money
Area was not nice at all Would not walk around after dark, would take a cab.
Staff was very friendly.
Rooms were very tiny. Something (I'm assuming a/c) had leaked out onto the floor and had stained the bed curtains and warped the floors wood paneling. The bed, if you can call it that, was stiff as a rock. The faucets in the shower had to be turned to a fraction of a hair accuracy to get the right temperature and still fluctuated afterwards. Oh, and did I mention the mannequin head on a pole we saw as we looked up through the skylight in the lobby during check-in..... Creepy!!!
I liked the location of this hotel. The staff was ok.
The outside of this hotel is great and looked very luxery only the room was pretty simple.
This hotel is not up to dated with respect of time
internet service Room facility
Parking, very quite for sleeping :)
Romote for tv did not work and did not tell about 50 deposit. On web site. Another person signing in was upset about it also. For 12 dollars breakfast not a lot there and 4 other people didn't eat for that reason.
Price Close to the actual Down Town LA
Internet is very slow Surrounding area
price, parking convenience, front desk staff, fridge in the bigger rooms.
location, worn-out showerhead, air conditioning, leaks, etc
The staff and the breakfast was good quality.
Needs some screws and elbow grease to clean it up abit.
Location! Breakfast was good but had to pay extra. Free wifi
It was basic!!
I liked the breakfast and customer service from staff
The location is in the worst part of downtown and we had to be upgraded to another room as werent sadisfied with the room
