Location, decorating style, attention to detail, and personal touches like a handwritten note welcoming me with home baked cookies. I would recommend it to everyone but am not sure I want everyone to know about it.
I liked everything. They will have to pay attention to tiny maintenance details in the next few years.

This was the best hotel that I have stayed in during our 4 month around the world trip. Everything about it was outstanding, from the comfort in the rooms to the warmth and helpfulness of the staff to the amazing breakfasts and complimentary evening drinks and cheese.......everybody should enjoy this excellent hospitality experience.

What is there not to like about this wonderful place. The staff are really welcoming giving a guided tour on arrival. The rooms are large with huge comfy beds and fluffy pillows. The Inn has a lovely seaside feel with the breakfast room and lounge decorated in fresh colours and lovely furnishings. But the big plus here is the hospitality. We arrived very early in the morning and just expected to be able to leave our bags and then return later to check in, but no, we were given breakfast and told we could relax in the lounge until our room was ready. They then worked really hard to get us into our room as quick as possible and about an hour after arriving we were unpacking! Guests are served wine, cheese, dips & crudités in the evening, all complimentary. Breakfast is delicious, with homemade pastries, yoghurt, cereals, toast, eggs etc. coffee, tea and snacks are left in the breakfast room during the day for guests to help themselves. They also have a honesty fridge with soda's in which you can help yourself to and let them know how many you have had at the end of your stay. The Inn is 5 minutes from the beach and they have beach bikes which you can use to ride along the cycle path which takes you along Venice Beach to Santa Monica or Manhattan Beach. We only stayed for two nights, but they were the perfect end to our holiday across America before flying home.

Lovely Staff - keen to help and make our stay worthwhile. Amenities and facilities great. Great breakfast. Good location with access to beaches, airport and wildlife marshes/wetlands.
Rooms at sides do not look out onto marsh wetlands and are subject to some freeway noise. Suggest rooms at back of motel would be best value and overlook marsh wetlands area.

Very clean & comfortable with helpful staff. Good healthy breakfast and evening wine and cheese facility, which promotes getting to know the other guests. Great breakfast and lounge rooms, well presented overlooking the wetlands.

It felt like home. Very cozy, close to the beach. Excellent breakfast, and they served it early which was perfect for us. a selection of restaurants very close by.

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed, it couldn't have been better! The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, the little touches were SO appreciated (cookies at the bedside, beautiful soap in the bathroom), the cheese and wine (daily at 5pm) was absolutely delicious, and breakfast was the best you could get anywhere - such a choice of food it took me 10 minutes to get started! I can't wait to go back, just to look at the beautiful beach scenes and little birds painted on the walls! I'm definitely bringing my family here - it's a little piece of Heaven in the lovely little town of Playa Del Rey!

as advertised, it was a friendly and comfortable inn with a lovely view pf wetlands, near a good beach, the west side of LA and Santa Monica, and ten minutes from the airport. Would definitely stay there again.
