Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice room. $12 parking right nextdoor, extremely convenient for going to Waikiki beach. One long blockfrom the Duke Kahanmoku statue which is dead center on the beach. We absolutely loved our stay at Polynesian Plaza! Rooms are nice&
definately adequate despite negative reviews! Excellent value for money
and in the perfect location for shopping in town.

My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

Loved the location - right on the beach with a range of water sports
activities available right outside the hotel door. Walking distance from
a huge number of restaurants, shops, international market, bus stops,

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal. The staff seem to genuinely love their jobs and it shows in their outstanding commitment to guest service. The rooms are whisper quiet. Our room was across from the lifts and we never heard them once. Bouquets to Travis for making me the best mai tai cocktails I've ever tasted. -

Handy location for shopping and being near a larger supermarket, with
the kitchnette, we could prepare meals in the room rather than eat out
each night. Rooms were reasonable - nothing flash but definitely value
for money. Free internet was awesome and not included in many other

The hotel is along the canal and central to everything Waikiki plus the price is right! They upgraded us to a one bedroom even though we hadn't requested it. Nice. Stayed here for 1 night just to sleep after a late night flight in before moving onto the beach front. Staff were friendly and offered us a free upgrade. Room was very clean though dated. Although away from the beach it is really only a few minutes away and you can still see the ocean. Great for travelling on a budget in Honolulu. -

The room was of good size and the view was nice. There is LAN internet in the room with high speed. Also there is a cafe and a shop right in the building, which is very handy.

Ilima is a gem! The decor is absolutely vintage Hawaiian.... wood, tile, wicker, tropical prints, original local artwork, and pink all over. We had room 1507 and had an amazing view of the canal and mountains. It was perfect to wake up to this every morning, with a very big balcony seating area to have coffee and tea. Great location - bus stop literally round the corner, beach a short walk away and restaurants and shops everywhere. Staff were helpful and friendly; pool fine; decent-sized lobby for meeting up in; rooms were spacious and clean.
There were 14 of us with 7 teenagers travelling as a group and it suited us perfectly.

the location was central to everything we did. The rooms were clean, staff were helpful with everything we needed. Nice and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Even though Waikiki goes on all night and there is all kinds of night life, the hotel was quiet. Didn't hear any noise at night to disturb anyones sleep.

Kuhio Banyan is right in the middle of Waikiki just two blocks from fabulous beaches & walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo, restaurants, shops, and superettes.
