Very clean, employees were polite, smiling, friendly, and helpful. At first, we were disappointed that we didn't have a better view of the bay. Then we realized that very few rooms in most of the hotels had "front row" rooms. So, we used the Baymont Inn for breakfast and sleeping and actually spent time on the beach. In our opinion, the Baymont is the best value along the bay front. Breakfast was good and front desk was friendly and helpful. R. Blair

Despite being extremely busy for the Labor Day weekend, the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. No attitudes, which is a welcome change in today's customer service. This inn was a good location with very clean facilities. The front office was helpful and answered all my questions. The room was large with a separate area from the sleeping area which contained a desk, table, microwave and refrigerator. The price was economical and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The room was fairly nice. Would have liked a better view, however when you wait until the last minute on a holiday weekend you have no right to complain.

Location, staff very friendly and helpful, even though it was budget friendly, we were not treated like 2nd class citizens. I will definitely use this hotel again.

We've stayed at the Hotel Galvez many times. Notice I said "many", that's because the staff is awesome. From the moment you pull up to the valet at this beautiful, historic hotel, you feel special. The Galvez Hotel is a beautiful old hotel that has been magnificently restored and kept up to date. It is right on the seawall and beach and has a rich and interesting history. I like that this is prominently displayed and guests are made aware of its history. We especially enjoyed the older gentlemen curator in the lower level where a lot of pictures and artifacts are displayed. This gentlemen should be specially acknowledged as he brought the history and stories to life.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable and appeared to be recently updated. We also enjoyed going over to Palm Beach, the water park located on the property. The food in the restaurant located on the 1st floor was delicious! -

The rooms are really nice! The room we stayed in had a big master bedroom with it's own bath. There was a 2nd bedroom and bath, and the couch pulled out into a double bed as well. It had a full kitchen, complete with cooking and serving utensils. There was a microwave and a decent sized refrigerator. We had many meals in our room during our trip,

Dana and Jim were the best. Dana was quick and courteous at the front desk. Jim was a delightful surprise as our shuttle driver. He was professional, courteous and informative. Jim went out of his way to make our trip memorable, even suggesting shrimp n' stuff for lunch on our way out of town. My wife and I had our 30th anniversary at the Galveston Tremont. I have stayed at hotels around the world and that was the nicest staff that I have ever associated with. When they found out it was our anniversary they upgraded our Queen room to a HUGE two room suite with 2 bathrooms and a living room w 12 foot ceilings and a beautiful chandelier! Then later that night sent up complimentary wine, fruit and cheese... A very sweet surprise!

It was exactly what I wanted from our trip to Galveston, and with the unexpected upgrade to a suite it just made our trip even better! We loved the whole experience. The hotel has spacious rooms and vanity area is very nice with 2 mirrors. It is within walking distance of The Galveston Strand shopping area and several excellent restaurants. Hotel location is also excellent for someone that is departing or arriving on a cruise and want to have an extended stay in Galveston.

I arrived late for check in but the person that checked me in already had everything ready for me. She was very friendly and courteous. She was excellent and made me feel very welcomed. It is nice to see people that actually care about giving good customer service. -

We loved everything about the hotel, but the staff made our time special. It was our honeymoon and when Macie who is one of the staff found out she had champagne sent to our room. The view of the beach from our room was amazing. Our whole experience was wonderful.

The staff was nice and even helped us fill a very small cooler with
ice from their machine even though a sign was posted saying we were
not allowed to. In their defense from management, it was a very
small cooler.
Also, the walls were incredibly well insulated. The room was SILENT, which was awesome. -

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our vehicle was left in
the parking lot while we were on the Carnival Triumph cruise that was
delayed a few days and they kept it without having it towed and
everything was secure. Room was very clean and the bed was a dream. Wish
