we chose tho stay here as we didn't want to be right in the middle of town. It' s a 25 minute walk to the Minster though there is a bus stop right outside if you want save your legs. The location was nice & quiet with hardly any traffic. The room was large, clean & comfy & there was plenty of nice food for breakfast. The hosts were friendly & helpful & were able to give us some really useful information. We will definitely stay there again when we return to york next year.

The food was excellent and plentiful. The location was ideally situated for both the city centre and the railway station. Would definitely recommend based on our stay and will be back on our next visit.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Also parking on site was a great bonus. Only 10 minute, nice walk into the centre. - The guest house was lovely and clean and the room was the same we were really pleased with it and will definately stay there next time we come to York.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ashbourne House. The room was fantastic and very inviting. The breakfast was very good and included many choices. Also, they provided us with a babycot and a highchair. There was a variety of complimentary teas and coffee in the room along with a clean water pitcher and cups. Also, we really liked its location

There was an excellent selection for breakfast. The hotel was within walking distance of the city and not too far from other attractions. Paul and Julie were welcoming and helpful when we needed information during our stay. I would recommed this hotel to anyone.

I informed the owners of my arrival time which was after their cut off, but they were there to greet us with a map of the city and some extra local tips.(other reviews suggest being left stranded by the owners, I would suggest these people didn't inform them of late arrival!) The room was spacious, and the bathroom spotless and highly functional

The friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. The
breakfasts were amazing especially the scrambled egg! It was great to be
able to leave the car parked for our stay and walk to everything. We
also found the information folder very useful. Loved all the photos of
York around the place and Zoe was really helpful with advice on where to
go and places to see. We also loved the smell of the bread baking for

The Acer was the cleanest BandB I have had the pleasure to stay in. The room and en-suite were immaculate and the breakfast was superbly cooked. Freindly, welcoming and helpful staff. Delicious lemon cake as welcome in our room! Location was excellent, close to city walls, York Minster and shopping! Great that we could leave car parked there for our last day! Breakfast was perfect start to the day! Overall great place to stay! Would definately stay there again and recommend! -

loved the location, it really was a 10 minute walk down the river. We were three adults so the triple room was really good for us, it was clean, comfortable and quiet (we at a room at the back). Landlady was welcoming, helpful and informative and let me leave my car there till we left on the evening after we had checked out, Breakfast was good too. Good value for money.
