  There are not many places to choose from to stay when yo get round that northern extreme of Scotland, but the Tongue Hotel doesn't exploit, and is a very good stay and value for money. A room of great comfort. with a welcoming caraffe of sherry. Comfortable bar and good food in the efficient but relaxed restaurant. The staff very welcoming. Hotel ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » only takes cash ,but there is a cash machine in the hotel. - The most luxurious, beautiful room I have ever stayed in. Furniture coverings, rugs and window treatments were all made of beautiful Scottish wool. Elegant and warm. Scenery from window was astonishing. Loved the decanter of sherry to welcome us to our room, and the wee dram of Scotch offered at breakfast to give pep to your porridge.

Particularly liked the use of residents lounge prior to entering dining area for evening meal, which was excellent. I asked for and got a room with a magnificent view of the mountains, something you can't put a price on.
