The hotel offered good value for the money. Location excellent. Cheap deal.Location. Close to city and on the railway line direct to Heathrow. The hotel isneat and convenient. the price. The room was clean, well-maintained. It close to the Albert Hall. good friendly staff. close proximity to rah, the guy who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful on 3rd nov 08 at 4.30 ish. very convenient for Albert Hall/ tube. I ould stay again. The location.you are paying more for the location than the actual hotel, it is in a great place, with easy access to all the attractions in the area. it was an adequate hotel room with clean and beds comfy. ideally placed for Royal Albert hall and suitable to use as a base.It was close to my travel destination. The location was good.It was very difficult to find and the staff did not help very much when I telephoned him asking for directions. When we did eventually find the hotel it wasn't too far from Royal Albert Hall, which is why I chose it. Close to Royal Albert Hall and Natural History Museum. No frills hotel and should say so. Staff were polite and helpful. The courtesy of the reception staff and the convenient position of the hotel. The location. location. External presentation of building was good, very much in line with the rest of the hotels along the road, staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and they did upgrade to include breakfast on arrival for the same rate. Location near Royal Albert Hall was only real positive. Proximity to where we needed to be. Reception staff really helpful. No fleas. The room looked safe and reasonably clean. It even had a TV!. Close to where I wanted to go. the hot shower. Good location. The proximity to the Royal Albert Hall and other central London attractions alied to good transport links. the reception staff could not have been more helpful, the bed linen etc was clean. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean. the reception staff were friendly. Location. The location for what we wanted to do and visit. The only thing that I didn't like was the noise from the trafficduring the night. Basement room was not satisfactory. Noisy and it was not possible to open drapes with any privacy.Couldn't turn the heating off in our room - it was like a sauna. During the night the room got very warm, with traffic noise being aproblem when the window was opened to cool it down. Although not dirtythe en-suite facilities are tired. Stick to the Continental breakfast asthe cooked breakfast can not be recommended - baked beans and scrambledegg were cold and bacon overdone... The sausage was good and toastplentiful.the tiles in the bath shower. i stored luggage however the room wasn't locked and i was not asked for any ID when i came to collect my bags - which was a little worrying as i could have been anybody!. bath not looking clean. tatty decor but price good. The toilets could use some renovating. Noise from outside. The plumbing was not working very well in the room I was allocated andthe bathrooms need a face lift. Other than this the hotel was ok. the room was the most cramped room I have ever been in, very uncomfortable to enter, exit and move around.Rooms are small for long stays. small basement single room very cramped. Will book double romm next time. The decor needed tlc there was sickers from customers before stuck on the bedroom wall. Needed alick off paint in room. And powered milk for tea instead off little cartons off long life milk so we brought a pint. need bedrooms decorating to match nice foyer area. The shower room and toilet were in need of maintenance and although the room/bedding was clean the decor could do with an update. They did not seem to know what a hoover was. The room was in desperate need of redecoration. The bathroom was disgusting with thick black mold on the ceiling and I had to unblock the shower cubicle to ensure the water could run away. It was amazing that they had managed to squeeze a double bed in - it was the world's smallest double room!. the room was very small and dingy for a double, bathroom needs to be refurbished, heating automatically comes on all night and made the room very hot and uncomfortable. Room very small, and shabby. Not an ideal space to spend any length of time. felt like a hostel. Room was clean but not very comfortable. Furniture was old and repaired. Walls badly needed painted.Beds were ok for a short stay. Could not walk around bed without hittinghead off the wall mounted TV and if I had had much luggage, there was no room to put it down. Shower room was clean but badly in need of refurbishment. Front lobby was nicely decorated and good appearance but room was of much inferior standard to this. Our room was in the basement and felt like it was dark and dingy. The sink in the bathroom was wonky.Rooms very small, no hanging space for clothes, etc. very noisy bythe road-side. there are rats on the roof. The toilet didn't flush properly and the sink didn't drain well. The front and lobby of the hotel were lovely but the rest of the hotel wasn't too good. The rooms were tiny, although clean enough.Basic small room and facilities, duff TV. No bathroom toiletries except hand soap. Poor mattresses on beds, shower falling apart, tiny room, light not working, no plug in wash basin, draughty window, lift light on second floor not working and we had to use the stairs. Room was too small. Inside the lift was unclean beyond description, it seemed that people had forgotten what a hoover was for.The bathroom was in need of updating . The bath in particular was dirty and the bathroom smelt. Very unclean rooms + shower. Various broken/ mouldy / rusty appliances. It was, in honesty, a dive. There were lights hanging off the walls. Shower was disgusting so couldnt even use it.Broken things were present when I arrived, and were not fixed after complain. These were the bathroom light and the shower holder (the piece that holds the shower and allows you to put it in different positions). I honestly can't get accostumed to hotel prices in England! It is incredible how much a hotel charges for a 3m2 area, just with a bed and a shower. There is no where to sit except on the bed, the shower and toilt are in a very poor state, the joint in the tiles are black.it needs to be decorated and more upto date and the curtains were falling off the rails and in the other room there was no remote control and no spoons to stir tea. The hotel was dirty beyond belief. The wash hand basin was coming off the wall in the first room. Thw shower was filthy, covered in mould, in the second room. The Hotel is very tired and needs a complete overhaul, our roomwas extremely small, not very clean and it would be hard to guess when the windows, which would not close properly were last cleaned. The wall behind the bed was damp and on the second night the toilet leaked and flooded the bathroom. the hotel rooms themselves were dirty and smelly, very poor housekeeping and general maintenance. The bedroom was dirty - particularly the walls. The bathroom was covered in limescale and the shower cubicle was tiny - it was impossible to get in and out without rubbing against the horrid tiles. the bedroom/bathroom was very dirty, the bed was rock hard.
there was graffetti on the wall outside the lift on the 3rd floor. The bathroom was dirty-mould/mildew covered the shower walls. Leaking ceiling, it leaked onto my clothes, and ruined them. Staff were helpful though, so can't complain there, and gave us a different room, plus discount. The interior was very shabby and none too clean. The shower cubicle grouting was mouldy and the breakfast was not value for money.
