The owners Sue and Austin were a great couple. We booked the Sherwood based on the reviews and happy that we did. Very good, full English breakfast with fresh pineapple,melon and strawberry fruit salad to start with. If we were to visit Harrogate again I wouldn't look anywhere else. If you like Indian food, visit the Ali Raj. - Sue the propiertor

great friendly service I have stayed in many chain hotels and usually have to struggle with my luggage I was gobsmacked when my luggage was carried to my room.I would recommend you stay here if you visit Harrogate.Nells homemade marmalade at breakfast was the best ever. ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » stay in such a great place - The worst thing about this hotel was the bed. It was so comfortable, I could have stayed in it all day every day. And that would have been a complete waste of a great holiday beak in a great little guest house. It was excellent, and dave, the propriotor made us so welcome. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff. Very clean and modern. Certainly central to Harrogate town centre. Good value for money - Location, quirkiness combined with modern comforts, excellent beds and food. Retained many original features with good effect.

We stayed at the Balmont for my sisters 50th with 6 other ladies, we had an excellent time, the guest house was lovely, very close to the town only a few minutes walk.The staff where very friendly the breakfast was beautiful. I would definalty recommend the Balmont to anyone and when I got back to Harrogate the Balmont will be on my list of places

rounds and the first room I had was a small single room, and was
adequate for me. The second time, at my returned trip, I received a very
nice double room on the third floor. Good breakfast nothing was missing
on the plate.

The room was very well appointed and decorated. It was very large, bright and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a wide section. The bar snacks were nicely presented and good vaule for money. Service was excellent and housekeepng was of a very high standard. Staying at this hotel made our visit really enjoyable

It was very comfortable, the breakfasts very good and the staff very pleasant and helpful. It was a good place to relax after a busy working day and very good value for money we plan to stay there again next year.

David & Ruth very friendly & helpful, lovely home, rooms excellent, breakfast fantastic, and no shortage of tea/coffee/toast etc etc., five minutes from town centre and most amenities., parked right outside - FREE. Cannot recommend it high enough. We will definitely be returning. Well worth booking, but do it now, it is so popular took three attempts to get a room., speaks for itself.

Owners have taken care to maintain property to excellent standards.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and comfortable and new shower and
bathroom meant no irritating plumbing problems. Location is close
(walking distance) to city centre yet in a very quiet tree lined cul de
sac in a sllepy neighbourhood for a most peaceful stay. Breakfast
excellently cooked to order and owner extremely helpful and hospitable.

Extremely helpful, friendly and efficient owners. Its a lovely Victorian building which was perfectly located for the conference centre. It is big enough not to feel at all awkward coming and going. The bedroom and shower room were quite small but that was expected as this was a small double which was perfect for one. The room was very comfortable, in excellent condition, spotless and had everything I needed - robes, iron and board, fridge etc etc. The breakfast was very good too. They made up
