The hotel is cheap and cheerful. Its nothing to look at. The rooms are lovely. For business in the city it's a great location. Taxi costs around £8 and a bus for the more adventurous £1.50!!! Eaterys either side of the hotel were great. Swimming pool and leisure areas could do with sprucing up but again are adequate. Breakfast lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. - Anonymous

I had a single room that was a good size, clean and comfortable. With free WiFi and room enough to spread work out the room doubled up as a rather useful office too. I'll certainly be using the hotel again and have already recommended it to a couple of associates. The hotel provides the traveller with good value accommodation and facilities without sacrificing quality of service or care. - Paul

Excellent breakfast at very civilised times - 7 - 10, (catering for theearly bird, and the late riser) comfortable ensuite room with goodfacilities - I had wanted to stay at the Paragon, because it is withinwalking distance of my work and because I had liked staying there before.I had a very good rate, including breakfast. The triple room was spacious and comfortable. The bar stayed open as long as there were paying guests there and the staff were friendly and helpful.. - Gloria

Bedrooms and public areas obviously refurbished recently in a very contemporary style .Bar area and restaurant to a very high standard for such a reasonable price.Food excellent and good value for money.Extensive choice at breakfast traditional cooked etc ,and pancakes which were yummy !Room very clean and comfortable piping hot water and good shower in a very modern bathroom.Staff very friendly . - Anne

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with modern quality en-suite facilities. It was pleasing to see that they have managed to retain the original Victorian features inside the hotel during the renovation work. The breakfast was excellent and again the staff very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay again. - Anonymous
