We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the food was of very good quality. The all you can eat breakfast was suberb. A lovely setting overlooking the river. And very good value for money compared with other places that we looked at. Free car parking is a bonus too. We will definitely recommend The Riverside to frie

The Riverside is probably one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in in a long time, and certainly for the price. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. The reception staff were very polite and helpful, the staff in the breakfast room

Staff very polite and helpful, could not fault anything.

The food was amazing! The hotel is in an excellent location to see the Lake District. The only issue is the parking. The hotel does not own the parking lot so you must pay to use it. The lot is also rather small so you may have to park on the street and move your car by 9:00 in the morning or be ticketed. -

Reception girl was really nice, had professional approach to all my questions and tried to help me out whenever we needed..Room was really clean and free wifi was a good facility every one want to use and enjoy..,and free parking..free cancellation if u change ur plan also give u a peace of mind.. -

Always good to find somewhere that takes dogs, and the service road for the services is a nice quiet place to walk dogs too!- especially as there were good things to sniff- due to rabbits! (according to my dog!)

the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were very clean and comfortable and nicer than big hotels i've stayed in. little touches such as toiletries being provided were a bonus and the breakfast was delicious. It was quite easy to park and only 5 minutes walk into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We booked this online for a midweek short break and as a fusy person I am particular where I stay but this place was a little gem and we thoroughly enjoyed the place and owners. we spent three gloriousl nights , we had the best room in the house patio doors looking over green fields and water . Breakfast excellent ,cant fault it .The only advice i can offer guests is: when paul tells you about a twenty minute walk make sure you get the right directions otherwise it could take an hour and a half.Eddie

The apartments were newly refurbished and done very nicely. A nice touch was that fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar and things like tea towels and dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid were provided. The pub adjoining the apartments does good food at reasonable prices. -

The host Yvonne was very friendly and gave us the royal treatment! Situated in a quite part of the town with adequate street parking and a nice view of the river. An excellent full breakfast with other alternatives offered. Good for local shopping with a retail outlet opposite (just over the river) and Kendal town centre a short walk away. We received the warmest of welcomes, room was beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, very clean and exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast menu was one of the best we have ever had, all good! Although a fairly steep hill into the town on the way back we did it in a leisurely stroll and hardly noticed it. Would definitely recommend and if we return to Kendal Beech House would be my accommodation choice.
