i was only in the hotel for a very short amount of time and it very much served an overnight scenario. Perhaps not for those seeking a prolonged stay however. Staff pleasant and it is very clean. Overall a more than adequate establishment but important not too over exceed any expectations anyone might have as it may disappoint those seeking something exceptional.
A very friendly, home from home style guest house, despite being in the centre of Harrogate. I don't like hotels for being snooty and commercial so I'm very glad I stayed here - very smugly as my colleagues booked into the holiday inn at double the rate! Pleasant proprietor, clean and spacious room, very good breakfast. Directly across the road from the Conference Centre; very convenient for local restaurants and the airport bus. Quiet and peaceful given its main road location. Ideal for HIC visitors.
The hotel was very clean and the proprietor was very nice and friendly. The location was excellent as it was only a two minute walk from town. We managed to get one of the two parking spaces outside.
I Liked the fact that nothing was to much trouble for Tanya. She added beds to rooms and swapped rooms for my elderly parents. The breakfast was plentiful, the rooms clean and comfortable.
It is very close to the centre of town which was a plus for us. The
price was very reasonable when cross- checked against other hotel
prices. The hotel owner was very courteous on arrival.
We liked the cleanliness, the room was well laid out and clearly thought had gone into it. The owner was nice too. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again.
It was centrally located with free parking and wifi. The bed was very
comfortable and the room clean. The breakfast smelt appetising, although
I did not have the breakfast.

Lovely comfortable beds, Very clean, nice en-suite with complementary

I was able to park there so my car was safe and it saved me money

On a downside, the stairs can be a problem if you are elderly or infirm. The shower could be upgraded,although there was plenty of hot water but not powerful enough.
We were lucky to find a parking spot at the front of the hotel: parking
is limited. The room was a very small double -hence the price.
Could do with lighting near the bed, the lamp did not have a socket near it. The parking was a slight hassle but the owner let me use her space which was appreciated.
The sink in the bathroom was too large for the space, making access to
the wc (especially for a generously proportioned person like me!)
tight. It also made closing the door difficult, if standing in front
of the sink.
For me there wasn't enough variety on the full English breakfast, though that said, it was cooked very nicely.
Only slight down side was the fried breakfast which just arrived for
everyone, although I have no complaints about the quality of the
breakfast, some of our party, if given a choice would've preferred
just scrambled egg or beans on toast.

sure I had cash if I had known. Rooms faicng road noisy if you want a

My room was facing road - lot of noise during the night. Fortunately did not disturb my sleep - as i was tired.

the door to my room didn't lock from the inside, I felt a little vulnerable, although the staff were vigilant about keeping the front door locked.
The room was very small as was the bed.
Only one pillow per person and it was very noisy when the window was open.
Could only check in at 5pm ,television a portable on a wall miles from
the bed . Breakfast although ok was just brought to us without asking
what we wanted.If this had been a business trip and had been sat in the
bedroom on an evening it would have been terrible .
Dated decor (but clean). No bedside light, general lighting too low for
comfortable reading. Only 2 parking spaces (taken), was difficult
finding a place in the street zone allocated. Charge for credit and
debit cards. Booked a twin room to have more space but was put in a
small single.
I stayed in Room 6, the furniture could be updated. My wardrobe was very unsteady and I was quite uncomfortable to use it.
My colleague stayed in Room 7, the shower water dripped over the carpet and there was no wardrobe to hang his clothes.
Water pressure very low.
The bathroom was so small that you could only just get into the shower.
There was only one towel (in a double room!).
My girlfriend suffered a sleepless night as the THREE people in the room above enjoyed a very noisy wine fuelled orgy that lasted all night- we were given a free breakfast by the owner as way of compensation but that didn't make up for our stay being ruined.
5% charge on debit card. This was not advertised on your website and
turned a jolly relationship into a poor one.
