Breakfast sunday morning was poor compared with previous which spoilt the end of the weekend really. shame otherwise great place.

Spacious room, very clean. Easy check in and check out. Good location, road did not disturb us despite our room going straight out on to it. All in all we got the room at a discount price and we felt it was very good for the money.

More comfortable chairs would be good, as would moving the dressing table so you can sit and look in the mirror. Also something to put the suitcase on. A discount for breakfast would be a good idea for guests as it is available to all at the same price. We felt it a little pricey and ate elsewhere.

Handy, reasonably priced, problem-free stop-off before morning ferry from Poole.

Mattress pillows, fine for price range but have slept on better.

only slight niggle are the shelves in the bathrooms - not wide enough to place all toiletries on.

Warm, comfortable rooms with lovely views over the river Stour (we had booked 3 rooms for our visit to a family wedding) Staff were polite and welcoming. Relaxing atmosphere Great food! Thankyou for making our stay a happy one :-)

Overlooking the river and seeing a kingfisher! Plenty of room. Bed comfy.

Small bath, not good for someone who is 6ft. Bath slippery.

Stayed here before on business. Highly recommend. Great warm atmosphere, helpful staff, including one staff member even providing me with 'toothpaste' which I had foolishly forgotten to pack!

Lovely views from the room.. Staff were very friendly & helpful. We had a problem with our tv & we were very satisfied with the way they resolved the issue. Room was light, airy & clean. Very good breakfast.

Our bed wasn't as comfortable as website suggested, but our friends were all happy with theirs. Walls are a bit thin.

The manager was extremely helpful in sorting out a different room so that we could arrive early in order for us to get changed for a wedding that we were attending. Our room was very comfortable & clean. Staff were friendly , polite & nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

There are a few areas in the hotel that are looking a bit tired and could do with modernising.

the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, comfortable and quiet, with a pleasant view over-looking the garden.

We appreciate the laundering costs however we would have liked to have had hand towels provided. The rooms were clean but passageway doors were quite dirty.

We stayed one night again for the second week running. Daughter had head cold and temperature. Staff went out of their way to help i.e. jugs of iced water etc and very accommodating with all requests. As with my review from last week thoroughly enjoyed the overnight stay. A big thank you to the lovely Manager and all his kind staff, We will be returning in the not to distant future.

The attentiveness of the staff to our requirements, the peaceful and relaxing location by the river and the ease of finding it.

The piped music, though it didn't bother me too much, the lack of a net curtain at the bedroom window and the lack of a shelf in the bathroom.

The Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.

We were in a room at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was annoying as it didn't stop until very late and started up in earnest again very early - I was woken up at 6am by a noisy vehicle going past.

Have stayed here in the past, and once again a great hotel, certainly lives up to expectations. Fabolus to sit outside on the decking overlooking the river stour in hot sunshine having a coffee. Back again on Back holiday monday...cant't wait!!!

The hotel’s proximity to the River Stour and views across the meadows - the bar has reasonable prices and a fair range of drinks - the carvery is of good quality and value for money - the décor is pleasing although the dining room chairs could be firmer - parking is easy and plentiful

Given the hotels semi-rural location you would expect a certain amount of interaction with the local wildlife within the building but the cleaner/s really do need to look up at the ceilings/cornices on a regular basis and vacuum up the numerous cobwebs and associated incumbents - it didn't bother us too much and wouldn't stop us visiting again - but - arachnophobics beware!
