Devonshire House is just outside Bath and a 20-minute walk to the city centre. It is a family-run B&B offering rooms with power showers and free Wi-Fi and delicious breakfasts.
Rooms at the Devonshire House feature TVs, DVD players and fans. They also include tea/coffee making facilities.
A freshly cooked Full English breakfast is served. You can also enjoy a lighter option of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
Linear Park and Alexandra Park are both just a 5-minute walk from the guesthouse. Located close to the Cotswolds Longleat House and Safari is a 15-minute drive away.

Friendly welcome. welcoming entrance. Clean comfortable rooms nicely decorated. Thoughtfulness for guests little touches such as fresh milk available to go with tea trays. crisps / chocolate available to purchase. Fans in rooms (we visited in a heatwave) and every effort was made to cool rooms down. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff.

A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.

Chris, who runs Deconshire House, was fantastic. He answered two frantic phone calls from me trying to find the place. He parked the car in the busy street. He suggested a mobility scooter for my husband which was a great help in getting around the town. And he provided great breakfasts.
the privacy, the relaxed atmosphere, the excellent owners who helped us with our grandson.
The continental breakfast was copious and of excellent quality.the room was very well appointed .We hope to come again soon.
Everything about Devonshire House was perfect the owners were a lovely couple and could not do enough for me I was made to feel welcome and cared for, my bed was comfortable and bedroom warm, infact all perfect.
It was very good value for money, very clean and the continental breakfast was great. Home made muffins which the children liked. The owners were very friendly and had made a real effort. We were impressed.

There was some traffic noise in the morning. Nothing too bad but worth mentioning.
The room had everything, but it was a bit small.
I thought the agency I booked with had made my stay very expensive and a cooked breakfast would have been nice,but nothing else.
Fine for walking into town but uphill walk back is a little demanding. Well situated for buses into town but fares are expensive.

metal beds A little squeaky-only fire exit was the front door-location up steep hill.
Unfortunately mattress was too soft for our liking but didn't spoil our time there.
A bit too far from the city centre, up on a hill. No problem for us, as we had a car. Tough stairs if you are travelling with large bags.
Shower - dribbled rather than flowing. Could have been a water pressure issue as the taps had no pressure. Toilet paper could have been new with every guest, but that is "picking" (my mum does B&B, too!) so I suppose I notice the little things - our guests get a new whole roll of toilet paper each day - it saves people running out!.
Room was quite small for 2 people and a fair amount of luggage.
