The best thing about this hotel is its owner .. Mr. Mahmood. He is one of the most polite, kind, friendly & helpful person I have come across. Whatever your problem may be, he's always ready to help. Excellent location, right in the middle on Istiklal street, in a small side road off facing Galatasaray highschool. allowed me an early check-in (11 instead of 2) and a late check out (4pm instead on noon). not the fanciest yet more than enough for a solo traveler or even a group of friends who can share the same floor.

staff were ausume, frienly, well speaking english and helpfull. location was the best, in heart of best live street of city ,in Isteglal st. very good breakfast, they upgrade our reservation to suit with no eaxtra charge as was low season yet. safe box in front desk and they kept our luggage for 5 days till we came back of our local trip.

Staff is super friendly and the hotel is very modern. They even have a small new elevator, so that you don't have to carry your bags upstairs via the staircase.
The owner speaks some English and is able to help you with finding your way around.
Rooms are all air-conditioned, water in the bathroom is hot. Water pressure is decent.
Beds are clean.

Very polite, helpfull and friendly staff. Guys are very enthusiastic, they love their job! That is why we felt very comfortable at Ilya Pera Hotel! There is a very warm atmosphere inside the hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well designed. And it has an air conditioning what is extremely important for a summer trip to Istanbul. We didn't need anything more than we had in Ilya Pera Hotel and enjoied our time that we spent there!

The hotel is beautifully designed, very class with baroque-style furnishings which I love. We had a very pleasant stay at Corinne. The staff is extremelly nice and helpfull, the rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Overall location is good - close to Taksim and Istiklal. Easy
transportation - cheap and quick (40 min) bus from/to Ataturk ap and
10 min walk to the hotel, easy access to city transport. Nice design – I
