The woman at the front desk was very nice and accomidating. The area was perfect. Shopping is wonderful if you walk around the area. The metro is literally a block away (which means a short 45 second walk). We found the area ideal, as we would hop on the metro and see all the sites. I would definatley stay here again!. i liked the silence of (in)my room , and friendly staff.όλα τα σχόλια »
it is located in city center. Rooms are clean, they are putting in a lift (elevator), the staff are friendly (in Spanish). central location. I was impressed by the fact we had air conditioned rooms with clean en suite bathrooms and a balcony, all for a very cheap price. The hotel was also very well located for the old town, gran via etc.Value for money and an excellent location for exploring the rest of the city. friendly staff, large room. In the centre. Hotel staff are so friendly, rooms are clean, free WIFI and its location was in the centre. It is situated in the city-center of Madrid. Location, good value for money. Central location and value for money. Friendly Staff one of them who I guessed worked in shifts spoke good english. They were kind and resourceful.the location is very good, very central. clean. the staff were very nice. The hospitality of the receptionist Hassan. Location is very central. Very clean. Good hospitality of hotel stuff.it was clean and very central. The camino is central enough, so I spared some money on transports, because I could just walk. However, public transport in Madrid in really cheap, so...Very good location; easy to walk to museums, sights, etc. Good location and reasonable quality for this price.Good location. location. its located in the centre, so everything is relatively reachable on foot. location, free wireless internet, good bed.the location is great, close to the center. central location, friendly staff. The location was very good. maybe that there was no elevator !. If you stay on the 3rd floor there is some noise with people pressing the bell. Sometimes the intercom doesn't work but they fixed it asap. lack of constant heating!. Building site next door was a bit of a pain, however the double glazed windows managed to keep most of the noise out. i asked for an outside room and got an interior one; for a short stay in foul weather fine - for longer stays i'd like a window overlooking the street not an interior vent. During weekends, street next to the hotel is noisy !!. It was rather noisy (day and night) because of the traffic in the street.Yes it is difficult to climb 3 flight of stairs with luggage, although it was clearly mentioned. As mentioned by others, the walls are really really thin, and you can get disturbed if not accustomed to noise from the streets or other rooms. very noise from neighbours. They need elevator. The room did not exactly match the description on the website. There was no central heating like the description said. There was air-conditioning, but it was central and we could not control it's temperature. It got a bit too warm one of the nights. I also noticed that unlike the description there was no double-glass, at least in my room. Some of hostal staff can't speak English, it make me struggleduring stay. being stuck in the back with blinds you couldn't open and could hear everything from the other rooms. Hair on the pillow, a somewhat dirty towel in the bathroom and a strange smell in the whole building. Noisy. no elevator and the wifi is not working. the lady in the reception is very rude. i didn't feel safe living my values in the room. rooms and reception is in the 3floor, no elevator. the building is very dirty, bricks in the hall, people have riten in the walls and nobody clean that.. a disaster. there wasn't hot water 3times. noise by the heating at night. the door's bell ringing everytime.there was a strange smell. bathroom were way to small, no closet. to expensive for what is offered. no internet. Refrigerator in room!. reception on the 3rd floor without elevator, no english speaking staff in the day, really noisy rooms, no towels nor so much toilet paper when I came. The hotel was very shabby. To enter the building you have to put your hand through a window and turn a handle. The bathroom light was a bare bulb hanging from a wire, in the shower. The stairwell of the building is crumbling and dirty. No elevator. Rude staff. They were all eating fish heads upon ourarrival. Very unprofessional. Half the group left early in themorning, and at 10.00, there were other people in the room--BEFOREnoon, and before we had officially checked out of the rooms. Far awayfrom puerta del sol.It was cold, expensive and incredibly noisy.
