Hostal Baler is considered one of the budget friendly hostals. Although the room was small, but for me as solo person was good. This is a family-owned place that is very well maintained and has a congenial staff and atmosphere. For protracted stays the rooms are better suited for single occupancy where space allows a comfortable chair. But for short stays the twin (there are no doubles) occupancy is perfectly adequate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean, tidy and bed comfy. Great location, short walk to magic fountain area and Espanya shopping centre and metro station. Hotel doesn't provide breakfast, but advised us of a great cafe/bakery for breakfast called Audreys just a short walk away. -

within one metro stop from the Sants railway station. White foyer, bright-
green corridor, cosy rooms - each about one of the Barcelona places of

1. LOCATION is excellent, very close to Metro station (Placa Sants) & several bus shelters (easy to go and explore the city). Hotel also near the Sants Train Station and ALSA bus ticket counter (if you want to go to other city by bus).

This is a modest accommodation in a very good location near the main
train station in Barcelona. If you are a walker like me, you can get to
all the sights by foot. Alternatively, you can get everywhere by Metro
which is a few steps away from the hotel. The room was small but
adequate, it was clean. It wan't pristine, but it was acceptable. My
room had a balcony which was an amazing bonus. The WiFi was strong. The
towels were changed daily. The hotel has elevator and a 24hr desk.

We stayed for 2 nights and really liked this place. We were on 2nd floor room with balcony facing the road (nothing fancy on the road but good to get the sunlight in the room).
