The location of the Azure House is beautiful and the view from the room was breath taking. My wife and daughter loved the rooms and the decorating which was "shabby chic". The breakfast was wonderful and it was served on the deck overlooking the bay and headlands of Knysna so the back drop was over the top. We enjoyed everything at Azure House thanks to Sydne and her excellent staff: the amazing views we had during sunrise and sunset, the excellent breakfast, the comfortable and well equipped bedrooms, the proximity to the waterfront and town, the safety of the region.
όλα τα σχόλια » The welcome made us feel at home from the first minute we arrived. the views from our rooms were spectacular. It was a pity we only spent one night there. Highly recommended. That breakfast is served on your patio in the morning at your requested time. Sydney is approachable and so friendly going out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home. We found the House very relaxing with a fabulous view over the lagoon. Sydne was very friendly and accommodation. Had a great time there and enjoyed Knysna too. The walls are very thin and can be a bit disturbing if you have loud neighbors. No one was there to welcome us when we arrived and we did not see the owner until the following morning. There are a few steps to manoeuvre.request a room with easier access if this going to be a problem. The time we spent there was too short. Air Conditioning on really hot days would help, but not a show stopper. Limited parking. There were no communal facilities, it lacked a bar and breakfast room (although the breakfast served on the porch was lovely) Very much self-catering venue. location could of been closer/walking distance to the port where the shops and restaurants are located. Had to drive everywhere. abit noisy as the walls are very thin. Car parking could be tight when full. Not enough hot water to bath/shower. If I use the bath the other 2 guest had no hot water for the shower. If you decide to walk into town it isn't a bad trek, but coming back up the hill is. Didn't spend enough time there!. I am allergic to feather pillows. The breakfast was bought to the room, you could eat it outside on the balcony with a decent table & Chair. But it was cold when we were there and we ate inside. There was no way of eating other than bending over on a very low table inside. The atmosphere was to business like, not at all freindly. Room was old and tired, noise from adjoining unit. preordered breakfast service without coffee and no other choice place and furniture basic and needs decoration. The owner was hardly ever on the premises and she forgot our early breakfast and request for assistance with charging our phone. The bathroom was in need of renovation. There were not enough loungers at the pool for everyone.

Travelling information

From Cape Town/George: On the N2 turn left into Lloyd street just before the first traffic light as you come into Knysna, turn left again at the top of Lloyd and then your first right into Circular Drive, Follow the signs up to Azure House. From Port Elizabeth/Plett: On the N2, drive through Knysna until you reach the Total Garage turn right into Fletcher Street, at the top of Fletcher you take a left and then you take your second right in Circular Drive and follow the signs up to Azure House .
