It's a five minute walk up to all the restaurants and from where the wine tram departs, perfect. It is really small but with Real quality and attention to detail. The public areas and our room were beautiful. Small touches like a decanter of sherry in the room, plus exquisite puddings left in the room at turn-down really give the place an opulent feel. Guest care is great too; they'll book restaurant tables for you, recommend/explain the styles of cuisine etc etc.

Directions from Cape Town International Airport to The Last Word Franschhoek: - If you are travelling on the N2 continue straight to Somerset West. - From there you take the R44 which will lead you straight into Stellenbosch. - Once in Stellenbosch take the R310. - Continue on the R310 to Franschhoek traveling over the Hels Hoogte pass and through the small town of Pniel. - At the T-junction turn right on to the R45 to Franschhoek (this road will lead you directly into the town). - The Last Word Franschhoek is on the right hand side opposite the BICCCS in the main road.
