The staff were great, just couldn't do enough for you and the hotel
itself is a great mix of the old original house and newly built annex
with lots of facilities, including a bar, jaccuzzi (if the weather
allows), good size pool etc.Breakfast is also of a high standard with an
excellent continental selection as well as choice of hot options. The
breakfast room is a lovely location with comfortable chairs and soothing
background music being played, all getting the day off to a great start.

From the minute we arrived the service was impecable our car was parked no fuss, we were early for the book in but were offered a complimentary beverage whilst waiting and the pleasant surprise we were upgraded to a larger famiy room

We were overnighting prior to a long flight the next day to Dubai/Kabul. This could not have been a nicer stay. Car parked, check in seamless, room very nice. Our view was an ocean view which was great. The convenience to the waterfront activities and shopping was excellent. Late night coffee and cake in front of the fireplace was superb. The breakfast buffet was possibly the best we have had, just fabulous. Staff were all on their game, excellent service.

Fabulous place. The owners are accommodating, friendly, practical, the rooms spacious and airy and a wonderful balcony running around with a direct view of the mountain. Very clean and hygienic in all areas of the guesthouse. Run by very friendly and warm hosts and staff. A great selection of DVD films to choose from, even a selection for more broadminded folks. Breakfast is great and well presented. Awesome view of table mountain and location to nearby attractions is a stone's throw. We stayed in room number 5 and the bed was huge! Premium quality linen and bedding make for an amazing night's rest.

The hotel was spectacular and the attention to detail from the decor to the ambiance within the room (gentle music in the background) was impressive. The view from the hotel is out of this world! Breakfast each morning was delicious and elegant. I loved every moment being there! -

This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. The rooms and service is very good. The location of the hotel is good and the use of the free shuttle to the Vand A water front is very useful. If you get a good rate this is the hotel to stay in.

location and pool and gardens - Smily and friendly staff. Great breakfast, fab views and nice big pool. Secure grounds with electric gate w/ night security was a benefit as I was travelling solo. A lovely stay and a short walk to gorgeous beaches of Camps Bay

This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. They also have a good network of local experts if you are looking for a guide (ask for Domingo)

Honestly say this is one of the best if not the best hotel I haver stayed in.

I stayed at Mountview for 6 nights and my experience was very positive. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. Also staying at Sea Point (quite neighborhood in a shadow of hill and 5 minute walk to the ocean breath) was exactly what I was looking for in this

Very comfortable, well located. It combines a quiet, "off the beaten path" location with a hotel that was within walking distance of all the best of Cape Town. Very helpful front desk with fantastic assistance in all things. A really great hotel and well worth the price.
