Nice reception side and ability of parking in front of hotel , very nice staff !!!, Nice restaurant with tasty dishes and complementary drink ( we have chosen champane :) good location , Ermitaszh about 15 minutes waking

floor cover on the levels is very old and smells bad, the only bad thing in that hotel , but makes it couple stars down

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and quiet. I was on the business trip; I didn't have time for shopping or city trip. I needed hotel only for sleeping and taking shower...

In the room I couldn't find any instructions how to use the coffee machine.

Convenient location- just few steps from one of the Neva embankments. Modern and not conventional design of the room. Wide selection and high quality of food at breakfast.

We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on the dirtier side. I thought that aspect of the visit was excellent. It also appeared that the rooms had been recently refurbished, with laminate wood flooring, an updated bathroom, and nice furnishings and wardrobe. I don't have anything bad to say about this place, it was great! =) There was also a small grocery store right next door to buy water bottles and small snacks for breakfast like bread and cheese (breakfast at the hotel was pretty expensive). Walking distance to the closest metro stop (Basiliostrovskaya) is about 10-15 minutes and is lined with a bunch of nice restaurants, cafes, and a Subway =) Overall very convenient!

If you're a first time traveler to St. Petersburg, whether you stay at Sokos or not, please be advised that the water is extremely unsafe to drink, or to even brush your teeth with. I would advise against taking a bath, and when you take a shower let the water run for about five minutes before you get in, so all the rust washes out of that section of pipe. Bottled water is readily available in the city--please use it!

The hotel was within walking distance to all the best sights of the city, it was clean, staff were helpful, the restaurant served good food.

One of the concierges did not speak a lot of English and some of the directions given were not always complete.

Good clean hotel, friendly staff. I think its close or equal to the Sokos Hotels in Finland, so safe choice. Sauna was ok, also the gym equipment looked ok (didnt use though:( Less than 10min walk to nearest subway station, entrance was very crowded in rush hours, but just squeeze in and after you get in, it gets easier.

I guess nothing worth to mention.

A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the expensive side.

Prices. Room price is a thing, everything seems to cost in that hotel, from the least bottle of water. Consider you're lucky if price at the end hasn't tripled from sole room price.

Sauna, comfort bed.

They didn't renew tea, sugar at the tea spot. Same with bathroom stuff, nothing added after first night. I had three nights in the hotel.

Pros: beautiful interior design, fast service, Is located close to the underground.

Cons: no slippers, cold bathroom floor, Vasilevsky Island available after the morning (when the bridges are divorced travel to the island is not), the dust in the room

Good bar with beer and very good restaurant downstairs. But breakfast was just fair, not good for 4 star hotel. Also you can use swimming pool at another Sokos nearby.

Floor and carpet in my room was dirty, I asked to clean many times! Also it was noisy in a room, street side, but booking 2 weeks in advance I asked for better view, they just ignored my request. And so many groups of tourists in this hotel, so no respect to solo travellers, I guess.

A bit out of the way.... It's not far from a metro station but otherwise a 25 minute walk to cross the river into central St Pete. Taxis are available to be called, but not cheap.

Poor cleaning of rooms and tables during the breakfast. Staff always ready to explain that you are wrong. The description of rooms on letsbookhotel.com does not correspond to the real offer.

The breakfast was normal.

The price doesn't correspond the service at all. It's not 4-stars hotel. The room is small. The hall and the room are not clean. There is even no place near the reception of the hotel. I can't understand how such hotel can belong to Sokos chain. I don't advise this hotel to any traveller.
