The Thorbecke Hotel is a small hotel situated in the heart of Amsterdam city-center. All rooms are very well looked after.
The Thorbeckeplein is next to the Rembrandtplein and is surrounded by exclusive shopping areas, museums and galleries.
Near to the Thorbecke Hotel is the famous Thorbecke bar where the first drink is on us! Every Sunday there is a market showing and selling art right next to the hotel.
Please be aware that this hotel is located in the middle of a square with bars and clubs. This is not a quiet area!
Next to the hotel are 3 luxury newly build apartments available!

the hotel staf, and clean rooms. Location, cost, fair value for the money.The hotel location was very good and it's the main reason why I chose this accomodation. This place is fit for party-hunters who would like to spend a couple of nights clubbing but there's too noisy for a mature couple or a family with a child. It was in an excellent position at the city center. It is in the center. It's recommended for disco guys and who enjoy only nightlife.Very central location. The location was the only good thing. Nothing !. None. I didn't stay there - it was too dirty - It bore no resembelance to thewebsite. I knew it was a basic hotel but I was led to beleve it would bebetter than it was. Steep stairs, night club noise on the 3rd floor. Not for people with heavy luggage, or are unsteady on their feet.Mmm... I guess it's fit for youngsters but but bad for all the rest. The hotel is situated above a disco bar so it may be very noisy tonight. Though I spent this time outside so I didn't feel any discomfort and can't say for sure. Anyway all the bars in the Rembrandtplein square are closed by 5 am so a hotel guest has enough time to sleep before the check-out. Customer service,room service.Our room looked on a wall. It was smelly of a resturant under. At midnight a disco started next to us. Hard to fall asleep. Poor breakfast. We couldn't stop with the car in front of the hotel pack out. Tiny room, tiny shared shower and toilets. Smelly carpet on the entrance stairs. Not good value for money. too many to mention. Dirty, small, electrics not safe, shared bathroom (req private). Everything, poor condition, dirty, loud music untill late at night. The room is too small and they make it big on the website. The lastthing is there is no information from this hotel that they only havesharing bathroom outside.the hotel was dirty and im sure i was bit by fleas.
