As many reviewers comment, the entrance is sparse at best. The entrance
is no indication of the hotel once you get up the stairs. We aren't
sure why some reviewers comment harshly on the stairs... It is Venice
and there are stairs in just about every hotel! The rooms are fairly

Location was perfect. Nice to be able to put all 5 of us in one room.
Staff were very easy to work with and accomodated some special requests
and made good recommendations for dinner, sight-seeing, etc.. -
Great location-close to everything. Staff was very helpful and informative. Kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast was great on the patio. Do have to climb a lot of stairs (no elevator) but very nice place.

We loved everything about Ca' Gottardi. The staff was so friendly
and helpful. Fabio was a delight, and Luke must be the most friendly and
positive Italian guy we have met on our trip :) The room we had was one
with a view (ask for second building) and required walking up some

Very nice accommodations: understated classy decor, very clean, very large bathroom, very secure & safe, wonderful selection for a lovely European breakfast, every staff member friendly and helpful, great location (away from the touristy centers but only 10-15 minutes to all of Venice by foot). Heat wave came and the AC went out but in 24 hours they had a great portable one that worked great. A little more costly than we had planned to spend but felt it was worth it in the end. Would defin

Location was about 10 mins walk from St. Marks Square. Close yet far enough away from crowds. Rooms were lovely.Ours was small but had view of canal while our friends had a huge room to make up for lack of view, I reckon! Personally, I loved room with a view. Staff very helpful and breakfast very tasty. All in all, great value.

I had such a great time here! The place is very clean and comfortable.
The décor is absolutely amazing and inviting. It makes you feel very

to pay, but rather give you 'till the end of your stay to pay if you

Great location, very easy to find, just few meters away from Grand
Canal, and very close to San Marco (5min). Beautiful roof terrace. Very
clean hostel. Big space where you can hang out. I came during off
season,to visit Venice biennial, for one night I payed just 20 eur.
Stayed in 3 bed room,and for both nights I was staying only with one
very quiet Japanese girl. Breakfast is simple, but for me was just
perfect, coffee, croissant, bread, jam. Definitely coming back again!

-True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.

Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.
