We enjoyed staying in La Casa del Poeta dell'Etna very much. Maria, the owner is very kind and helpful. She gave us great ideas and tips on what to see. Breakfast is also very good.
The room is nice and clean. Actually it was two connecting small rooms, with a double bed in each, so staying with children was quite confortable.
The location is great. 30 minutes drive to Etna and to Catania.

If you’re looking for typical Sicilian life in its original charming beauty, it is the best place to stay in Sicilia. We absolutly agree with Andrejs,Praha,CZ comments.
Giuseppe and his family (they have their own hotel and restaurant M.A.T.E.S) are the nicest people whose we found in Sicily.

Good position between Etna and Taorimna, near the highway exit. Room was so clean, especially the bathroom. We loved that.

The drive with Massimo from the car park to our accomodation was exciting. We were a bit unlucky in that the village was enveloped in cloud, but that made the drive more exciting. The village of Erice is absolutely beautiful high up with the most amazing views and interesting buildings. The apartment is tastefully designed with excellent facilities and comforts. Massimo met us as we arrived at the hilltop location and helped us to park our car in a free car park and then took us and our luggage in his car to the apartments. He recommended very good restaurants and was generally extremely helpful.
Our two day stay was perfect.

Breakfast was the best we had in Sicily - highlights: selection of fresh croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice. Short walk to central Nicolosi. Highly recommended!

What we read in other comments was definitely true. The appartement was excellent and very clean and the hosts Maurizio and Cettina very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really great, 5 jellies, fresh bread and Mortadella/prosciutto juices and Sicilian icecream (Granita)! Nicolosi is a cosy village to stay. Close to Etna and Catania.
