We stayed at Fabbrica for 6 nights. It was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the ground floor apartment. It is comfortable, well equipped and quite large. The proprietors, Giovanna and Giuseppe are very pleasant and helpful people. We had planned to use this as a home base for trips to Florence, Pisa, and other spots in Tuscany. Instead we just stayed here because, after a day or two of exploring, we decided this was as good as it gets. We did not rent a car, but for our purposes, that was f.
όλα τα σχόλια » We stayed here (in the main villa) for two days in June and had an amazing time. First, the views of the nearby towns and the countryside from the windows of the villa are amazing. The property is set upon some elevation so it gets a nice cool breeze even when it is hot elsewhere. The property is the perfect distance (about 15 minutes drive) from the main town of Lucca, where you can go for dinner, shopping, strolling, biking, etc. btw, Lucca is an undiscovered gem in Italy. It is an amazing li. Our hostess was a very gracious woman who made us feel very welcome. Our gps failed us and after a couple of hours of fruitless searching for our accommodation we phoned our hosts to come and get us. Without flinching our lovely hostess drove to us and led us back to her place, where we found our huge apartment, dating back to the 1700s. We felt like we had slipped back in time. It was so rustic and so Tuscan and we regretted only booking for one night. The breakfast was so beautifully presente. The Villa was fabulous, built in the 1700's with much of the original furnishings remaining. The location (near Lucca) was spectacular, with views of the Tuscan area, grape vines, olive trees and mountains. We enjoyed having wine on the portico as well as in the vineyard in the evening. It is centrally located, so we jumped to Florence, Cinque Terre, Pisa on day trips. The train from Lucca is easy to use and very very reasonable. The owners are lovely, the staff is great and I could not re. Giovanna Tronci and her husband Giuseppi are excellent hosts. They both have a sense of what it takes to make their guests feel at home in this historic villa on a large property. It felt so comfortable to be located in this countryside villa outside of Lucca. Giovanna serves a wonderful breakfast. They make their own organic wine and olive oil. They know the history of this region and are willing to share their vast knowledge with their guests. Giovanna is class personified. Take Guiseppi's wi. We liked everything about San Martino and the hosts. Giovanna and Giuseppe have developed a fantastic estate from this historic villa. We enjoyed hospitality like at good friends' place, enjoyed the wine and food of the fabricca and also the rooms in the main villa, actually three of them on the second floor. The pool was nice, spacious and very clean. This was a lovely start of our honeymoon trip in Tuscany and if possible, we would definitely return while our marriage has grown to the next s. Such a welcoming couple and beautiful place. Set in the stunning countryside it is a great location. Giovanna is very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips of where to go. Our room was spectacular with old wooden beams and rustic furniture. Breakfast is a yummy spread with the most fantastic view over the valley. A great trip, we will definitely be back and think it would even be nice in the Autumn or spring. San Martino is a paradise. So beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. The owners, Giovanna and Giuseppe are the best hosts you could hope for. Friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The accomodation is superb in an idyllic setting. If you want to visit this area just stay here. You won't be disappointed. The place is amazing, very authentic, immersed in the nature. If you are searching for a place for a weekend, which gives you a feeling to stay in a real Tuscan villa from the 18th this is a place for you. It's not modern. The breakfast was nice. The swimming pool is a real pleasure!. Amazing location! We stayed in the villa and it was a great experience: imagine a mix out of a museum and a great family run hotel. Giovanna and her family made the experience very personal and the breakfast on the terrace is truly an experience we will remember!. This old farm house located in the hills just outside Lucca is the perfect getaway in Tuscany. You are surrounded by olive trees,wine grapes and silence. Classic interior and nice large rooms. Call in advance of your arrival so they can open the "gate". Joanna and Guiseppe were amazing hosts, and really made the difference to our holiday. Them plus their amazing Country Estate Home and breathtaking views over tuscany made it a wonderful stay for us. The location, accomodation and surroundings are just stunning. The farm date 17th century and everything are gorgeus. I recomend!. This was a magical experience, if you have the opportunity to stay at the Villa take it! Do not hesitate.... We were very warmly welcomed and the setting and accommodation were fabulous. We would love to stay again. Beautiful building,beautiful setting,wonderful breakfast,interesting and thoughtful hosts. The most Romantic place with top service an the most wonderful and friendly hosts. a very special place with fantastic setting in tuscany. Perfect counrtyside location for a quite, peaceful vacation with beautiful views. We really loved the place so can't say there is anything we didn't like. There are only positives at this villa. No negatives at all. As coming from the North, we would choose some other period for our visit next time as it is very hot in August near Lucca. However, the pool gave a lot of refreshment and we used it often. Nothing to dislike. A bit difficult to find, but if you follow the owner's instructions you'll get there eventually! No air conditioner in the suite, could be a problem in August. Everything was perfect, but don't trust your Google Maps! Look for an entrance with a red and white striped chain. We didn't have a car so one issue was the fact we'd have to get cabs everywhere or walk, but other than that it was perfect. Absolutely nothing, all was perfect.... Nothing we could think of other than trying to find it initially - definitely need a car. I had no complaints, I was in heaven. There was nothing we didnt like. can be a bit scary if you believe in haunted houses. Uncomfortable cluttered accommodation, with an old, outdated furniture, substandard bathrooms and fixtures, desperately needs updating. Poor breakfast.
