Great location. Great value for money. Great view.
I was a little concerned about pervious negative reviews of the hotel, but my wife and I had an amazing time at Carre Noir. The hotel is located on the hillside overlooking the magnificently beautiful Santa Giulia Bay, and is a five minute drive from Palombaggio Beach and 10 minutes from Porto Vecchio. Most of the staff were not perfectly polished English speakers, but certainly enough to communicate, and all were extremely friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions, maps of the local area, etc. Despite what others said, we thought the breakfast was fantastic (€15 for buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, pasteries, bread, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt, coffee, tea, cereal, etc.). Our room (100) was very nice with a clean/modern/comfortable feel and an excellent view and wireless internet that worked well. Rooftop pool was perfect for a quick dip and swim, and the lounge chairs in the pool area were very comfortable. Nothing but love for this place.
