Staff were fabulously welcoming as were their pets.Communicated well in English/French a gave us some great inside info into some great restaurants etc. Hotel de Paris was a last minute booking for us and it worked perfectly. Great central location convenient supermarket and adjacent one of the most popular outdoor bars in town. I stayed in Room 55 which is large with excellent light and air from the front side of the hotel. The hotel staff and ambience is casual and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Compared to Paris.....Lyon is a bargain and not over run by crowds. There is a thriving theater scene in Lyon and great local cuisine.
