Although it is a 20 min walk to the old town, for our purposes the location was quite good in that its equidistant between the old town and the bus station/port for onwards travel. The owners were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English - they gave us maps, advie and juices too. We liked our balcony and the views from it.
The people who owned Finest rooms were so friendly from the minute we waled in, showing us maps, places to go, offering us juice water, to taste their homemade wine. Everyday through English or Croatian they'd ask us how our day was and call the buses, airport or islands to help us. The rooms were clean and good facilities.όλα τα σχόλια »
Family warm, friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed the homemade liqueurs.
The view from our room was lovely and being midway between the old town and Dubrovnik Harbour made sightseeing and eating choices easily accessible.

No air conditioning but the rooms were in shade by lovely terrace so it was ok.
A 20 minute walk to old town but it was an easy walk and lovely scenery.
Difficult to find.
If you plan on visiting both sides (west and east) of Dubrovnik, than you're right in the middle. Hence, the location is good. If you plan on visiting only the old town area, the location might be a bit far away to walk. But you can take busses though.
