Only 300 metres away from Jingshan Park and a 10-miute walk from Forbidden City, Jingshan Garden Hotel - Forbidden City is an oriental-style cosy home in the ancient Sanyanjing Hutong. It offers a restaurant and free WiFi access. Shopping areas as Wangfujing and Xidan and Beijing Financial Street can be easily reached in 10 minutes' drive. It takes 15 minutes by car to both National Centre for the Performing Arts and Tian'anmen Square. Beijing Railway Station is also 15 minutes' taxi ride away. Beijing Capital International Airport is located 40 minutes' drive away. Traditional charm and modern facilities blend well in the units. Besides soft quilts with floral patterns and dark wood furniture, the air-conditioned guestrooms are fitted with a minibar, an in-room safe and a TV with cable channels. The en suite bathroom comes with toiletries and a hairdryer. You may rent a bike for free and explore the beauty of Hutongs nearby or arrange a rickshaw tour with the help of hotel staff. At the end of a tiring day, sip tea and chat with friends in the courtyard. Laundry and dry cleaning services are offered at Jingshan Garden Hotel. The business centre provides fax and photocopying facilities. The seasoned chef would prepare authentic Beijing snacks in the courtyard and you may expect both Chinese delicacies and western fare.

Although I thought we were staying at the main Red Wall Garden Hotel, we ended up, fortunately, at the San Yan Jing Hutong, which I assume is a part of the Red Wall Garden operation. This place was picture perfect, a wonderful Chinese setting with a clientele that one couldn't be more pleased with. While you have to traverse a block to the location, which is something of an alley way, coming to the facility was like arriving in paradise. I don't know if all the hutong hotels are like this one, .
όλα τα σχόλια » It was very close, within walking distance, of two of the most famous hutongs. Very comfortable beds with a modern bathroom. The staff waited up for us until 1 am to let us in when returned to our room. The breakfast was great with many selections. The hotel is very nice, very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and the 3 dinners I had at the hotel were good and the food very tasty. It is very close to the Forbidden City and of easy access to public transport. Located conveniently within walking distance of most major attractions. The room was comfortable and quite with all amenities. The old world ambiance and courtyard to relax in were great. Breakfast is fine but very basic. The hotel breads a very nice atmosphere. Staff was unbelievable friendly and helpful. We planned to stay only 2 days and then change hotel, but we stayed up there to the end of the vacation. The location was perfect. The charming courtyard Rooms were clean and tidy Lots of attractions nearby in walking distance. A true experience of China Signposted to find. Good and quiet location in the middle of a hutong in walking distance to the forbidden city and the busy center of beijing, nice room and good cleaning service!. The hotel lets one experience the traditional living in an old Beijing Hutong without having to compromise on comfort or cleanness. For those who wish to experience a traditional chinese style small scale facility with nice courtyard centred layout then I think some may be happy. The room , particularly the shower, was nice as was the courtyard. General location was good. I liked the location, 5 min walk from the Forbidden City I liked the fact that it is a courtyard hotel, with a little garden to relax and take some fresh air, very quiet away from the noise of the city. They have a good restaurant!. Nice ambiance, very kind people, good location near the forbidden city although a little far from the subway, in the middle of the old city, very quite as it is retired from the main streets. The distance to the subway is a bit of a trek, but since it is close to a fairly main street bordering Jingshan Park, one can easily catch a cab. It was lovely. The access roads to the hotel from the main road are not nice. Restaurant closes very early. Airconditioner in the room was uncontrollable. Booked airport transfer through hotel and was 30 mins late. One staff member in particular I found very rude and unhelpful. I asked for the hotel to book me a taxi for the following day and they did not! Very confusing regarding payment as the hotel did make it clear that I was paying on checkout and holding funds on card when I checked in!. Don't come to late for breakfast! (the buffet was already cold)You can order some additional food from a menu which we did not know the first morning. Service at the reception a bit slow but very friendly!. Because the rooms are surrounded by a courtyard, at times you will hear people talking loudly. It's not a great place for sleeping late. Confusion over which location. This is part of a chain of hotels in Beijing, and when you research it online, it's confusing which location is being talked about. This location is not close to the subway, for instance. When I arrived I was little shocked by the actual location in the Hutong. I was expecting the frontage on the street not in a back alley. It is very hard to find and most unlikely a taxi driver from the airport or anywhere else in the city will drop you at the right hotel. I think that plenty of others would not like the things we like best about it. It is not much like a hotel, more like a set of cabins surrounding a common picnic area. And it is very rustic. As I said, we loved it for its genuine and eccentric nature, but it is not to everyone's taste. Enterance through hutong looks like back alley. Window into bathroom Walk up lane at night. We paid Y300 for taxi pick up from airport, expensive, but, I thought it would be worth it to ensure we arrived quickly. However, despite being organised direct with the hotel the taxi drive still took us to the wrong hotel - the other Red Wall Hotel. Despite being part of the same group they refuse dto help us call the taxi driver back. The location is not the best: 30-40 mins from metro. Taxi drivers always get confused with the other Red Wall Hotel. Generally it's rather hostel or backpackers than real hotel. Location in old narrow street, taxi can stop 150m from the door. Arriving at night can be high-emotions experience. Really poor breakfast ;(. bed was very hard , internet was just to slow all the time. Nothing. The tours that were arranged were not of good qualty. better bread for b_fast. The wifi didn' t work in the room or where ever in the hotel. I really needed to use internet so Sili allowed me to use the computor of the hotel in their office. I think that from the price hey charge per night, they could install a better internet connection. Anyway, the time we spend there, was very good. - Staff could have been more friendly, not really unfriendly but lacked charm - breakfast quite basic, adequate but nothing special - approach to hotel not inviting, dark, dingy alley (especially when you arrive at midnight ;0) - this is not the hotel featured on their website - this is their sister hotel. The website hotel is more upmarket i believe. For western travelers access to hotel was via hutong narrow lane difficult for taxis requiring luggage being dragged 200m from main street and was just too basic. There was a very poor breakfast choice in a cold environment. Which was not acceptable. Maybe this hotel took the traditional element a step to far. Spartan is more appropriate term. The breakfast is really poor The staff on my arrival night was not very nice and do not speak great english. Internet quite bad (I was also there for work…), a bit cold during the nights at the end of october. Needs some refurbishment, could jump at least one or two categories with very little done. Insufficient lighting (but it is a common problem in many hotels), unhandy wardrobe. no refrigerator in room. I ask to change sheets everyday but I had to remind them. the last day of my reservation I stay out from check-out time (12:00 AM) up to the time taxi come to collect us formthe hotel (07:00PM). The staff is not profesional and the breakfast is poor. Service.
