everything was OK, espacially the disponibility of hotel staff to offer to the client a pleasant sejour. The rooms are relatively big, with nice views on the surrounding valley. More than good sevice for a reasonable price. The hotel staff is professional, kind, always ready to help, speaks good English. The room was big and quet. Staff, Sauna, breakfast. If you need a cheap place just to sleep, this hotel is fine. My single room was very small, but with shower and toilet ensuite with 24 hours hot water, the bed was comfortable, and everything very clean. You cant expect any extras like tv or hair dryer and you don't find them, but the breakfast is very good, and the staff helpful.

And if you arrive late and there is nobody to ask, you have difficulties to find it. The instructions lead you until you get off the tram at the last stop, but you don't see any street named Neuwaldegg around. In opposite end from airport, took 2 hours to get to airport. It isfurther out from last tram stop, recommend to use buses. Looks like itused to be a spa hotel in the old times, but outdated looks, but orderlyand clean.In one of the single rooms the heat radiator could not be regulated, and if I had not noticed that at once, I would have suffocated. So, I changed the room - luckily, they still had one. hotel has basic facilities but great value for money. People smoking in the lobby and especially in the computer room! Quite far from the center, though fairly easy to reach by transit. I would recommend to establish wireless Internet in this hotel. I don't think that this option will raise the price of services in the hotel.It takes about 50 min. to the center of the town, but the transportaion is easy and occasion. Rooms are very basic and my friend's room was leaking badly in wet weather. Nothing special not bad, not good. Maybe a little to expensive for onestar hotel but generally O.k. It is not a Hotel. It is a sanatorium. "Hospital" end of the city. Somerooms are very good but some rooms are very skimpy. really small rooms, old furniture. room was too small. Lack of services (no food except for breakfast), not all the staff can speak English. far, no tv, no hair dryer, room too small. This was definitely not good value for money. The room was tiny, like alarge cupboard really, and the bathroom miniscule with a shower thatleaked everywhere. Some of the light switches didn't work either. Thewhole place is extremely run down and needs a good overhaul.it has two (maybe three) types of rooms and we've been given the cheapest ones; after many complaints we could change only one room. if you are a non smoker don't stay there, everything smelt like cigarette smoke. The shower and toilet were extremely noisy and when people in the next rooms were using theirs it was like having them in your own room. I was weaked up at all times by this. Location is not great. it takes more than 20 minutes on a tram and another 10 walking.

All rooms are unique and the small hidden winter gardens have a special character. Some of the rooms have a balcony with garden view.

The city centre is reachable with the tram within 20 minutes.
In the near neighbourhood you will find the "Wiener Höhenstrasse", and the famous "Heurigen" in "Grinzing" and "Neusift am Walde"

The city centre can be reached by tram in circa 20 minutes.

Close to the guest house are the Wiener Höhenstrasse and wine regions of Grinzing and Neusift am Walde.

Single, double, triple and quadruple rooms are all available. All are equipped with a shower or bath and some have a balcony. Rooms are airy and decorated in light, neutral shades.

Travelling information

Arrival from the Westbahnhof:
Take the U6 underground line (towards Floridsdort) to Alser Straße. Then take tram number 43 (towards Neuwaldegg) to Neuwaldegg.

Arrival from the Südbahnhof:
Take tram D (towards Beethovengang) to Schotttentor. Then take tram number 43 (towards Neuwaldegg) to Neuwaldegg.

Arrival from Wien/Schwechat airport:
Take the airport shuttle to the Westbahnhof and follow the directions as above.
