So close to Southern Cross Station for early morning departure on Overland train next day. Close to Convention Centre only a couple of stops away on the tram for attending a conference. I was still able to have free breakfast in the morning even though I was ready to check out before 7am when breakfast normally starts. Staff member was aware of my request for a bottom bunk and ensured that I got one as soon as I checked in as he was prepared to see how he could help if a bottom bunk wasn't avai.
όλα τα σχόλια » Location is the winning factor, hostel is in the heart of Mel CBD. Just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. All the staff is friendly & helpfull, allowed me to check in early. I enjoyed the free pancakes on sunday morning when i arrived - TQVM ALL. Wish I was younger and single, would be a great place to met girls and go party, possibly the best location in city close to train, bus etc and nightclubs/ pubs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The toilettes are large. Free wifi, free breakfast and some dinners. Nice stuff. Friendly staff, breakfast available, private rooms, plenty of good tourist information, central location and access to airport bus and other transport options. It is what it is - no point moaning about it. location. Location. the location. Having to lug bags down and up stairs which was very hard on my hernias and arthritis. Microwave was still broken which meant that kitchen was even busier with people all trying to get burners on the cooktop to cook their meals some of which could have been heated in the microwave if it was working. One of the taps wasn't working which meant that everyone had to share one sink and set of taps to do washing up of their dishes, wash hands, prepare ingredients or get water for cooking. (1) Cleanliness - need improvement especially on 1st floor (2) Wifi working well but in lobby area, not in room. Anyway, this is a minor issue for me since i'm out of hostel most of the time. Backpackers are always a hard place to get a good night sleep with others snoring and coming and going, but that's just how it is. The backpacker wasn't very clean. The 2 computers in the lobby were almost always busy. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. 16 people room non bed number. Sydney chili blue hostel is bad.send submit my review to me again. I will report to Australia Gov. old furniture no free wireless. staff not particular friendly or helpful. Things could have been a little cleaner.. On arrival was given a bed in dorm and was told linen would arrive shortly and bed would be made ? It never arrived I returned in the early hours of morning to find my bed unmade with the dirty linen still in it from previous guest !!!!. Standard of cleanliness, specifically toilets and showers. Cleaning staff don't appear to be properly trained in hotel cleaning. Lack of maintenance. Items such as toilet paper dispensers broken, flush levers on toilets difficult to operate, hand dryers not working in male toilets first floor, missing shower controller and locks on cubicles need repair. See previous answer. small lobby. No free wifi. Not clean . No lift . Bad breakfast variety. May not stay again. it was filthy dirty and there was hardly any crockery or cutlery.
