The hotel is charming. Be prepared for experience that is unlike the classical hotels, but it is very nice because it feels like at home. San Telmo neighbourhood is quite nice part of the city, you can reach all interesting and important points from there, you can see the tango or the market on Sunday. The guy at the reception will give you the advice of where to go and what to see. The breakfast is OK, nothing special but it is fine if you are not demanding much. There is also a kitchen but we.

Good location -- short walk to the central area of San Telmo neighborhood and 2 blocks from subway station. Quaint building with a lot of charm. Access to kitchen, rooftop patio, nice common spaces. Nearby construction work gets started early in the morning, but otherwise not too noisy. Also Im asthmatic so its probably not suitable for someone with allergies. Arrogant staff. since most of the rooms have now windows (which is ok) the aircon could be more efficient. lots of stairs, no lifts. the double beds were actually two single beds put together. we could saved more if we would pay in pesos and changed the money with the "blue rate". All good. Very simple rooms. some rooms do not even have windows. Security was very good but this included having to ring for entry each time. Also hotel name not marked at street level so took a while to find it. We arrived 15 mins before the end of breakfast one time and almost all food was gone. There was a light that shines through the doors and makes it daytime all the time. - no credit card accepted - some members of staff just speak spanish. Room was comfortable but very small and had no windows and shower leaked all over bathroom floor. A little poor breakfast.room too narrow with a very small window. WC was broken. Need a renovation. The bathroom was clean but had a funky smell. The manager was rude to us about our payment as we disagreed with the exchange rate but he allowed us to pay our price eventually but did say 'it's only 20 pesos' as if we shouldn't have cared. The walls were very thin, and the communal areas weren't very comfortable so not many people used them, which made it harder to meet other travelers. Internet connection in our room on &st fllor was not good. There was a water flaque in the bathroom when we arrived. Breakfast from 8 is a bit late. Some rooms without windows and very small. Located in a dangerous area. - cover blanket was full of sperm stains from former hotel guests - quiet at night but noisy in the morning of the construction site on next to the hotel - one of the guys from the front office had a very condescending way of talking to the guests. Problems with room locking but resolved when asked front desk for help. A lot of noise. The rooms don't have isolation. no lift. old building and furniture. not well-organized. not a real hotel. breakfast is VERY basic not a very nice neighbourhood rooms are small. no phone, Wi-Fi didn't work. computer was on roof-didn't work. no elevators, no clock radios. no wake up calls. Websites photos and reality is entirely different. Terrible terrible terrible.very insecure neighbourhood, smallest rooms, no cleaning at all.no windows in any rooms.noisy all night long.
