  The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very spacious and clean. Having the small kitchenette was helpful as I have a very restrictive diet although the term "fully stocked" kitchen was a bit of an over statement. There were no pots or pans to cook with and no plates to earn on.   Were booked for Monday night but arrived, unexpectedly, a day early..in the middle of the night. They accommodated very nicely--giving a good rate and complimentary parking. Parking is very safe--a concern of ours in a downtown setting. A really great location: excellent for getting around especially downtown and for using the transit system.   We had a wonderful time staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Diego recently from March 11 to 14. The facilities were excellent. Our bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable, and coffee making was provided. The pool and hot tub facilities were clean and comfortable, especially the large hot tub which can take 14. They have a ‘happy hour’ service with reduced drink prices between 5 and 7; and the food was excellent and freshly cooked, with nice hot veg - Location was excellent!. Room was clean. We opted not to get room clean on second day stay and got $5 coupon to use at one of their restaurants. Service was great. We requested clean towels on second day and were brought up quickly. If you need something for room, just call and ask. Friendly staff. Got $5 coupons for each member (5) towards San Diego zoo. Could get noisy due to it being family friendly but that is expected. Close to restaurants.

There were also gym and pool facilities which I did not use. The location was very practical with only short drives to Sea World, Midway Museum, Old Town, Zoo etc (in fact there were shuttles available for a couple of these destinations).   We were only there 2 days waiting for cruise ship but enjoyed the location. The staff were friendly and helpful. It took us a while to work out the bus system but once we did it was good. Could I suggest that when giving directions to foreigners that you tell us which way is North. Coming from down under it is not always evident.   I can't find fault with anything. They were extremely accomodating and the staff was so lovely. Everyone. Housekeeping, front desk, restaurants. A lovely place to stay. - Hotel and amenities are excellent. Beautiful lush gardens with a great pool & hottub area. Clean and very nicely taken care of. I would definitely recommend it.

  Everything about the stay was amazing. The staff was wonderful!! They were helpful from the get go. I had to have my cell phone fed ex to the hostel & they took care of this. I had to leave a package at the front desk for a friend to pick up and they took care of this. Corridor was noisy but quiet during "quiet time." Parking is on the street/metered, so that was a bit of a walk to find. The facility/room was very clean and beds pretty comfy. We had a private room w/two twin beds, tv, mini fridge. It was very small, but met our needs w/flying colors!
