Big comfortable bed.
Dark room (but extra lamp kindly provided)
Beautiful room, great location, staff was very friendly and sincere. Free upgrade to a king size bed (stated reason was that I'm 6'3" and the full bed I was originally slated for would have been problematic). WiFi ($15/day) was reliable.
Poorly placed power outlets (only on the desk, across the room from the bed) and a baby ironing board that you had to set on top of the desk to use, despite having space in the closet for a full sized ironing board (really frustrating).
The hotel was clean, fair value (for NYC) and the rooms were a fair size for NYC too - the bathroom was a good size with a nice big shower. The bed was unbelievably comfortable & the room we were in was nice & quiet at night - despite being so close to times square!
complimentry wifi in the rooms would be good - $15 for 24 hrs for 3 devices can quickly add up & in this day & age wifi should be as standard. Our bill was also quite a bit more then expected on checkout - even considering taxes - have to go through the final receipt again but got a bit of a shock when I checked the credit card bill! about $150 I can't account for - but again, have to check the final receipt.
The Saturday staff was amazing!! So friendly & very accommodating.
I was dissapointed the terrace wasn't open Saturday night. The terrace was one of the reasons I booked Cassa.
Staff, location, great service
no hotwater maker in room; no free internet
The hotel location and staff were awesome.
Friendly staff and the location was great
Would have liked a Better bar and lounge and tea and coffee facilities in room
Before booking a read some reviews, some of them said the room was kind of small, but the room actually is a pretty good size (not too big but not too small for a NY room), with a small bar, a big shower, flat TV, and a very comfortable bed, desk with internet connection, chair and sofa chair. It's classic and elegant. It had an iHome. Love the fact that once you check out, the hotel can keep your luggage at no cost while you take last walk to the city. One 1/2 block from Time Squares, close to Fifth Ave.
Personnel very friendly.
Loved your staff. Stephanie Colovic was probably the nicest hotel worker
I have ever met. Even before we arrived I called to ask advice on
Theatre tickets and tourism. She actually stayed on the phone with me
for 20 minutes helping me. I couldn't have been more impressed with
her service. She really went over and above. Everyone who worked there
was very kind and professional.
We really didn't have any complaints. You didn't have a
restaurant when we were visiting but that didn't bother us because
your location was so great. So we weren't too concerned.
Clean and well priced for New York.
Rooms were very comfortable
The customer service is amazing, the staff were very friendly, nice and very helpful.
The price of laundry was way too expensive. We had to pay 176 USD for 3 shirts and few underwear and sock which was insane.
1. the location (3 minutes to 5th Avenue and 10 minutes to Times Square)
2. the bed and pillows were really comfortable
3. the staff were excellent
only one shortcoming - the lack of cupboard/drawer space....but that didn't spoilt the holiday
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
AC is noisy so I had to turn it off.
Great location, very friendly helpful staff
No free WiFi in room (paid was available in room and it was free in their terrace area)
The staff. Very helpful and friendly.
Hot water was not consistent after 9:00am for showering. Some bags of trash and towels were the hallway all day and into the next day when we first arrived.
The staff couldn't have been more accommodating to every request. When they ran out of regular coffee pods for the Kuerig coffee pot in our room, Patrick, at the reception desk, was apologetic and immediately sent up a complimentary pot of coffee with a promise of another the next morning!
The location of the Cassa was perfect for us since we were there primarily for the theater, and we found perfectly fine places to eat within walking distance. We would definitely return!
The lighting in the bedroom was a bit too dark to our liking.
We found the white leather seating uncomfortable....we would have preferred a couple of upholstered chairs in the room.
beyond doubt , the staff were the nicest we had encountered in all our years travelling !! Helpful , courteous and friendly . I would stay there again because of them
Location and friendliness/ helpfulness of front desk staff.
Inadequate storage in room for more than a 1 or 2 night business trip.
Rooms were very comfortable and the staff was great
No work out facility at the time I visited. They were in progress of rebuilding. Also need something in room to display television channels....especially during march madness
We really liked the hotel and our room. The location close to the Times
Square and 5th avenue shopping was perfect for us. There was a nice cafe
right next doot to the hotel where we had breakfast.
The location is very convenient, just a few blocks from Times Square. The room (upgraded to Executive) was large enough and the bathroom was very modern and beautiful (above all the shower). It is not a big business hotel, more a "boutique" hotel.
In the room there was just a very small closet, so we had to keep our clothes in the suitcase. We did not have breakfast there as the price is quite high, and the lounge at 10th floor is not so beautiful, with a strong smell of sausages
I had a great customer service experience in Cassa hotel! They didn't have the room I booked so they upgraded me executive roome with no extra cost. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. I liked my stay very much. And location is perfect for travellers in New York.
Very small bed
No free wifi
The room was comfortable. The staff professional. The location
The breakfast staff was over whelmed. The service slow and food not
great. Skip it and go some place else.
Fantastic location, lovely room and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Location and access to what I wanted to do .
The noisy repair work just outside the entrance to the hotel. The swing doors are too small and difficult to go through with luggage.
- Room size is comfortable.
- All basic essential things are made available.
- Good house cleaning.
- Noisy air conditioner when switching to heating mode.
- Sound proofing of the room can be improved.
location, clean, clean , clean !!!staff very helpful
wish the downstairs restaurant was opened
My stay at the casa hotel was a pleasurable experience. It was was all that I thought it would be. the staff were very accomodating and the room was lovely and clean. I would return here again for my next visit to NYC.
-Fantastic location-5 minutes from Times square, a short walk to Central
park, prime location yet nice and quiet -Staff so friendly and courteous-
they couldn't help enough -Generous provision of good quality
toiletries each day -We were offered an upgrade on arrival and a lovely
bottle of wine for my partners' 40th Birthday, the staff also helped
to decorate the room at my request-they did an exceptional job! -Quick
check-in and check-out -so easy to get a taxi when departing and the
hotel even has a taxi service to the airport -free wi-fi in the Lounge
-I recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again, great memories
-No tea/coffee making facility in the room (may be a European thing
but I missed it nonetheless) -renovations are currently taking place so
scope to take a drink in the evening was limited which was a pity
Large junior suite. Loved the shower water stick.
Didn't like lack of service. No room service. Didn't like
location -- staff told me that I'd have to walk three blocks to 8th
ave for a liquor store. In the future I'll stay on 8th ave for half
This hotel has been a pleasant surprise to us. The location is fantastic and the hotel delivers exactly what it promises: honest facilities and service at a fair price. Also, the shower is incredibly good! The room is extremely quiet . Strongly recomend for a couple on vacation.
The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was modern and comfy, the location was excellent, the deal through booking.com was great
the lighting in the room was inadequate and hard to find the switch on one
Room size was good for New York City!
We got upgraded to a suite so felt we had plenty of space. The bathroom
was very new and very nice. The bed was enormous and the mattress was
great. We slept really well. Friends had told me I could expect a view
to a wall, but we had view to the streets and could see a snippet of a
far away horizon. We really enjoyed it and would come again.
The restaurant area was being renovated, so we never had our meals at
Also, internet access was free on the 10 th floor, but in the rooms you had to pay an extra 10 dollars.
Bathroom and shower were awesome. Bed comfortable. Elevator very fast. Location. Staff.
Chairs in the room, not comfortable. Room floor cold.
Reception staff were very friendly and were happy to help with any queries, whether hotel related or generic questions about out days out in the city.
Staff was absolutely great!! (Stefanie, the concierge, was especially
professional and very friendly. Helped us around town and even helped us
get discount tickets to a play).
The rooms are fairly big and very well decorated. Great location, just 2 blocks from Times Sq and the subway.
Expensive Wifi. (Never could really understand why you get free wifi at
a cheap hostel, but have to pay for it in a 5-Star hotel...)
Expensive breakfast, but there are a few cafes just around the corner.
The rooms were smallish but comfortable and well designed.
The restaurant on the 10th floor was a big disappointment. No charm whatsoever, and over priced. Would have preferred an area with just continental breakfast fare: bagels, toast, coffee, danish.
Overall everything was great!
Excellent friendly desk staff, beautiful large room and bathroom, best breakfast I have had in New York served on the 10 th floor Terrace.
Can't think of anything.
Staff from each area of service were excellent and could not help enough. The room was spacious, good quality and well resourced. The facilities were much better than I expected for the price we paid. I would definitelys tay ehre a gain on a second visit to the city.
Whilst the restaurant is under refurb it was disappointing not to be able to get a hot drink whenever you wanted one or have access to food at any point in the day.
It would not put me off returning though.
bed comfort, staff was so nice
We arrived at the hotel about 3 hours before check-in to drop off our
bags but to our surprisement, our room was avaliable and we even got an
upgrade because someone cancelled! The room was small - as any hotel
room is in nyc but I could tell right away it was very clean (hard to
find in nyc). There was no view but for the price (approx.
$200/Night), I did not expect one. Staff was extremely pleasant and
helpful - 5 stars for customer service. This was my boyfriend and my 4th
overnight trip to nyc and I would rate this hotel 2nd out of 4, not bad
for being the least expensive.
The bed appeared broken-in more than I would have liked, sunk down quite
a bit when sat on.
They were nice even though we asked them a favor at 3am
Convenience to midtown Manhattan
Room was rather small.
Location. Friendly and helpfully staff
Very small room
The location & design
The staff is lazy and forget to do the job I released the bed was too
bad seem to be not clean
