  It was our first time with my friend in New York and the hotel was perfect for us as it was 10 minutes walk to time square. We would walk easily from time square to the hotel after 12am. The room was small but we loved that it was perfectly clean. We were hardly in the room as we would leave for breakfast at 7am then leave for our sightseeing and... was die leute sagen » shopping and we always came back to the room after 12am so the size of the room did not bother us. We enjoyed the hot breakfast especially the cheese - The room was confortable, the matress, pillows and sheets were perfect. Well maintained, all furniture, carpets, wallpaper, courtains, bathroom, lamps were in good condition. It wasn't noisy or at least it was not a problem for me (I was on floor 11) The WiFi is high speed and, at least in my room, the coverage was perfect. I can recommend this place if you need a place to sleep. No more , no less. There's no hanging out in the lobby and meet up with some people, because there is no lobby/bar. The entrance has a counter and the elevator up.

  Our experience was great from our reception by the doorman helping us with our bags, our greeting as we checked in and the comfort of our room. We even got a n/c upgrade.   We (young couple - 28 yo) stayed in this hostel during one week to visit ny. We spent a very nice time at this place. The bedroom (economy-cheap) was little but nice, confortable and clean (queen bed, sink, mirror, window). We had a shared bathroom always clean and available (morning and evening) ! The breakfast was very nice (cereals, some fruits... was die leute sagen » , bread, bagel, hard egg, jam, butter, honey, tea, coffee, milk, juice ...). The location was perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to metro, between - Frankie at the front desk was wonderful. The location was very close to the 8th avenue subway station which was a nice line to ride and see the city. The breakfast was delicious and the other guests were friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good (a plus for me). The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning the room daily. Very quiet during our stay both from other rooms and from the outside. There is a grocery store on 8th ave between 22nd and 21st (2 minute walk).
