  The restaurant (Julian's) is excellent. The staff was friendly, the drinks delicious and the food was exceptionally good. We expected run of the mill food and were blown away by how good it was. My husband said it was the best steak he's had in years--as good as any top notch steak house.   the cost was very reasonable and a great value for the money. The rooms were incredible looking. The breakfast buffet was great. Good value compared to hotels in Manhattan if you don't mind the half hour but very easy train trip from Penn station.
