Entire hotel exceptionally clean and well presented. - We spent too very comfortable nights here. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating of our requirements and with information about the local area.

  Sue the owner was brilliant and really welcoming. The garden and sunroom were great and unlike hotels we've stayed at where we were too uncomfortable to use the facitilities, Sue made us feel really at home and we really enjoyed lounging in the sun. The Stone room itself was amazing and on par with other high end hotels we've stayed at. A lot of effort has been made to create this and has excellent attention to detail. Luxury at it's best! The wooden bathtub is fantastic! Your every needs are catered for. The service is superb; Sue is a very gracious, helpful, friendly and obliging lady and you are made to feel very welcome. George gave us coffee and biscuits when we arrived and even offered us a glass of wine (which we declined) that set the tone for the rest of our stay. You can come and go as you please but there is always someone on hand if you need anything. It’s unlikely that we will need to stay in the area any time soon but if we do then we will have no hesitation in booking a room at the Cumberland Lodge. It wo
