  It was immaculate and the owner could not have done enough for us. We had a pet collie with us and this was not a problem at all and we occupied the ground floor accomodation. The owner even directed us to dog friendly restaurants nearby which was very kind.   What a find! I can honestly say this is one of the nicest b&b's we have every stayed in. From the lovely warm welcome and delicious homemade scone to the lovely clean and nicely decorated room and extremely comfy bed. The owners could not do enough for us and made our stay very pleasant and little chihuahua was made most welcome too. Also give The Coffee Beans a try just a min or two down the road...excellent food & - We arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the hosts John and Gillian, we were shown to room 2 on the 1st floor and we were not disappointed, the room was tastefully decorated,spotless and the bed was lovely and comfy. The breakfast was very nice with a vast choice of fresh fruits and cereals followed by a delicious cooked breakfast served by john, the friendliest host we have ever met. We are already planning to return in a few weeks as it was such a nice place to stay. Thank you mark and sue.

  I loved everything about my stay at Sylvern House, The owner was so friendly and helpful from start to end. Breakfast was amazing 3 courses and it was so filling and made me and my girlfriend ready for the day ahead! Neither of us had any problem with our room or any other part of the stay. The area where the hotel is situated is easily within walking distance into Scarbrough town centre or seaside but is in a quieter part which means that you can sleep peacefully. It was free of the noise and bustle of the north side of Scarborough. The breakfast was very nice.   I highly recommend the Tall Storeys, Mauna & Ian the owners are a really lovely couple and made our stay really enjoyable. We stayed in room 4 which had a marvellous view of the harbour. The room had a four poster bed and it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is to die for and can not fault our stay in shape or form. They provided us with all day parking permits to park outside the hotel on the road due to all the spaces being taken at - Very welcoming upon arrival, due to being new to Scarborough we were provided with a map and highlighted all of the local attractions and routes to these. The bedroom was very cosy as well as clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was beautiful with plenty to eat and drink. Looking forward to my next stay and already recommending to family and friends.
