  What a wonderful place to stay. You couldn't ask for better hosts than Michael and Christine . Nothing was a bother or to much to ask for. Every evening we returned to a roaring fire in the lounge and every morning we looked out on the gardens while choosing from the wide variety of breakfast offerings all of which were outstanding. The breakfast conversation was won - Everything. We were made to feel very welcome and the owners Michael and Christine really do care for their guests. The breakfast menu was incredible, with a 'choice of the day' in addition to fruit etc., high quality cereals, a full english or a selection from and, home made bread toasted. The bed linen and towels were of high quality, with each pillow having chocolates (wrapped) as a welcome gift.   What a find! We stayed here whilst touring on our motorbikes and were impressed from the moment we walked in. Ultra-friendly staff showed us to our immaculate room, and that attitude continued through the evening in the bar - they were a real credit to the owners. I'd recommend The Bell to anyone. - Room clean and tidy, good thick towels. The Bell is a pub, so if you dont want to hear the noises of a Pub, dont stay here! I was above the kitchen which was noisy during service, but was quiet long before I went to sleep! The rump steak was superb, with a lovely Pepper corn sauce. I have paid a lot more for places that were not as nice.

  I came from USA for the Service of Blessing in St. Mary's. I just loved the whole of the Ickworth estate. It was great to be able to see the work done on the church and graveyard and be able to see where my family are buried. See the monument and where monument cottage stood.   We had a lovely 3 night stay. Our room, although very bijou, was charming and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We had dinner on 2 nights and found the food to be very good. We were shown other rooms and they were really lovely with lots of oak flooring, big windows, lovely furnishings and good facilities such as the wet rooms and dress... was die leute sagen » ing areas. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. - Lovely rooms, great ambience, friendly hosts. I felt very comfortable being on my own on business travel. The rooms have been lovingly individually handcrafted with oak and have great design features. Great restuarant, food prices very reasonable for quality of food, has indoor and outdoor areas and comfy couhes by a fireplace. Would recommend, and Beccles is a lovely village on the broads.
